As a key component of motorcycle comfort and ride stability,motorcycle shock absorbers are constantly innovating with people’s increasing pursuit of motorcycle quality and performance.The traditional front shock absorber in the motorcycle suspension system use a positive structure,The front shock absorber of such structures have speed characteristics single,easy to hit the bottom,impact and noise large,old-fashioned structure and other disadvantages.The application of damping valve system in front shock absorber makes the design and development of inverted front shock absorber more and more attention by the motorcycle industry at home and abroad.The thesis took research on an inverted front shock absorber in high-performance luxury motorcycle abroad.This type of shock absorber has rich speed characteristics,and Because of the use of damping valve system technology,its speed curve is easy to adjust,good buffering performance,reduce friction,prolong life,fashionable appearance,improve the comprehensive performance and market competitiveness of the motorcycle.By disassembling and analyzing the structure and working principle of the shock absorber,studying its various performance indexes and understanding its design concept and technology,it is of great significance to improve the level of independent research and development of motorcycle shock absorber products in China.Firstly,the development of motorcycle suspension technology and the research progress of motorcycle front shock absorber are summarized,the key structure and working principle of motorcycle inverted front shock absorber are analyzed,and the utility of damping valve system applied to the front shock absorber is studied.The influence of the elastic throttle plate deformation in the damping cylinder of the inverted front shock absorber on the mathematical model accuracy is analyzed,and the calculation method of the elastic throttle plate deformation is studied.In this paper,the nonlinear modeling and the solution of the multi-plate throttle valve deformation problem with different number of pistion restroting side damping valve system are presented by using the “parameter perturbation method” in elastic mechanics,the combination of selection and before the shock absorber spring damping hole,solve the front shock absorber combined deformation of throttle valve of the contradiction between precision and computing speed.The parametrized model of the inverted front shock absorber was established,and the resistance displacement and resistance velocity characteristics of the shock absorber were simulated by MATLAB /Simulink.The effects of throttle aperture,damping hole diameter,piston rod diameter and oil viscosity on the performance of the shock absorber were analyzed,which provided theoretical support for the performance simulation and design of the shock absorber.The sample of inverted front shock absorber was developed and the related tests were carried out.The special test rig for MTS-849 shock absorber was used for the damping characteristics test.The test results were basically consistent with the simulation results,thus verifying the correctness of the mathematical model of shock absorber.The temperature characteristics,static friction force and static load characteristics of the shock absorber are tested,and the analysis is carried out by using the relevant technical standards,which lays the key technical foundation for the production and popularization of the inverted front shock absorber.
