Research On The Construction And Regeneration Design Of Fort Wall In Northern Shanxi

Located in the northern agriculture and animal husbandry interlaced zone,northern Shanxi was historically an area where the farming ethnic groups and the northern nomads conflict and exchange frequently.There are still a large number of Fortress remains.For this type of fort,architecture-related research is divided into two main perspectives: one is to study the relationship between the fort and other elements in the system from the defense system of the Great Wall;the second is to start from the fort itself and study the spatial characteristics and evolution process of the fort.This thesis takes the Shahubao regeneration project as the starting point to study the construction characteristics of the fort wall in the northern Shanxi and the design strategy for the regeneration of the fort wall.The first chapter of this thesis mainly introduces research objects,research methods,research content,etc.,and defines related concepts.The second chapter briefly explains the cultural and geographical background of Shahubao.Introduced the geographical characteristics of its location;the Ming Great Wall defense system and the role of the Fortress in the system;the history of Shahubao and the process of change in its spatial form.Chapter Three studies the construction characteristics of the fort wall.Briefly combed the technical development history of Chinese traditional rammed earth city walls,and sorted out the construction technology of Ming Dynasty city walls.Finally,through historical research and field surveys,the original outline form and construction details of the Shahubao fort wall were inferred.In addition,according to the status of the current ruins of the fort wall,the factors that damage the fort wall and the damage type of the fort wall are studied.The fourth chapter introduces the background of the Shahubao regeneration project and the current situation of the site.Based on a brief analysis of heritage protection theories and cases,the design concept of the Shahubao regeneration project is proposed.Combining the structural characteristics,current situation,historical value and contemporary social needs of the fort wall,the method of space intervention with a certain universal reference value is studied and the design strategy is formed,and finally the strategy is developed into design practice.The whole thesis contains about 29 000 words,95 pictures and charts.
