All cities include the element of memory.The city,as the primary gathering place for people,is closely integrated with everyone’s actual life.First of all,as a material organism,urban memory reflects the connection between people’s subjective consciousness and the external environment.It has gradually become a key factor for people to perceive,experience and recognize their own living environment.In addition,as the carrier of human culture,the commercial landscape of the community has the function of memory storage.It is a vivid manifestation of the continuous evolution and high development of the city.It is not only the symbol of the city’s memory,but also an vital part of it.Nowadays,most cities are undergoing rapid modernization,and urban memories are facing a complex and fragmented situation.For example,urban memory design elements are simply copied inappropriately,the material carrier of urban memory information is eliminated,and various social phenomena of "memory fault" and "memory dislocation" collide with each other.Obviously,as the urban memory becomes "fragmented" and no trace can be found,it is difficult for people to experience the "sense of place" and "sense of belonging" in the urban space,as if people’s memories are erased by an eraser.In order to prevent the city from being gradually consumed from meaningful "places" to undifferentiated neutral "spaces",the city’s individuality is maintained,and people’s sense of belonging and identification with the city is enhanced.At the same time,it further summarizes the memory elements and visual symbols of Wuhan urban culture.And on this basis,discuss the necessity of the integration of urban memory and community commercial landscape.Subsequently,a multi-dimensional detailed analysis of existing well-known commercial landscape design cases at home and abroad is carried out,and relevant design methods are considered and summarized,and these design methods will be used to provide practical guidance for the design practice chapter.Finally,this article focuses on studying the "readability" and "constructability" of the close connection between urban memory and community commercial landscape.Based on the theory of urban memory,the memory elements and visual images of Wuhan Nanhu area are analyzed.Here,how to materialize the representation and expression of urban memory will be the focus of this chapter.This article hopes that through the spatial experience of the community commercial landscape,people can achieve a deeper sense of place identity,so that the community commercial landscape design becomes a three-dimensional language for expressing and conveying emotions,while maintaining a good urban memory texture,and then presenting a complete The visual quality.
