Parameter Study On Wind Resistant Performance Of Standing Seam Metal Roof System

Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,the standing seam metal roof system has been widely used in stadiums,theatres,airports and other large span building structures.However,at present,there are still many wind-damage accidents of metal roofing system in most areas,and the problem of wind-bearing capacity of metal roofing system needs to be solved urgently.In this paper,the standing seam metal roof system as the research object,using ABAQUS finite element modeling analysis,to explore the influence of various parameters on the wind-resistant performance of the roof system,and the wind resistance performance of the roof system is studied in detail.The main contents are as follows:(1)According to the failure mode of metal roof system in practical engineering,the criterion of wind resistance failure of finite element model of the standing seam roof system are put forward: when the maximum stress of roof panel reaches the ultimate stress,the material is damaged,the roof panel reaches the ultimate bearing capacity,and the roof system is torn;when the lateral displacement of bayonet exceeds 3mm,the fixed support falls off from the seam,and the joint of seam is broken when the roof system reaches the ultimate bearing capacity state,the roof system will break down.The wind-resistant capacity of the roof system depends on the smaller value of the wind load when it reaches the two ultimate bearing capacity states.The finite element analysis model is established by the ABAQUS,and the rationality of the model is verified by the test results of local node tests of the standing seam.(2)Based on the wind-resistant failure criterion of the proposed roof system model,the effects of five parameters on the wind-resistant performance of the roof system are analyzed by using the finite element model,including the thickness of the roof panel,the width of the roof panel,the height of the plate rib,the friction coefficient of the edge material and the overall diameter of the edge.The results show that the wind-resistant capacity of roof system can be improved by reducing the width of the plate and the diameter of the shape of seam,increasing the thickness of the plate,the height of the rib and metal rolling edge friction coefficient,and the sensitive area of the various parameter influencing the wind-resistant capacity of the metal roof system are obtained.(3)Based on the results of parameters analysis,the correlation between the parameters and the wind-resistant capacity of the roof system is discussed by using the bivariate correlation analysis method.The results show that the thickness,width,the height of the rib and the diameter of the shape of seam have the strongest correlation with the wind-resistant capacity.Fitting the data,the wind-resistant capacity expression formula of standing seam metal roof system is obtained,which provides reference for engineers and technicians.
