With the rapid development of China’s economy,there are more and more large-scale public buildings,such as gymnasium,platform and so on.Because of its flexible design,convenient construction and good waterproof,the standing seam metal roof system has been widely used in these buildings.However,in recent years,the wind damage to the standing seam metal roof system is frequent,which has brought serious losses.The performance-based wind resistant design with comprehensive consideration of economy and safety is gradually emerging,but the research on metal roof system is still rare.In order to promote the process of performance-based wind resistant design,this paper studies the vulnerability of t the standing seam metal roof system.Through Monte Carlo simulation,a lot of finite element simulation and regression analysis of simulation results are carried out,and the vulnerability curve of this kind of roof system is obtained by combining the vulnerability probability function.This paper introduces the application of vulnerability curve in the design of typical flat roof.The main contents are as follows.(1)Based on the Monte Carlo simulation method,the vulnerability of metal roof system with vertical lock edge is studied.A three span fine model of vertical lock metal roof system is established by using ANSYS.The randomness of roof material parameters is considered by elastic modulus,yield strength,ultimate strength and Poisson’s ratio,and the randomness of artificial installation is considered by the friction coefficient of surface contact in the model.A total of 100 groups of 50 groups of samples with and without wind clips are obtained by random sampling.The wind speed between 10m/s and 90m/s at the interval of 10m/s was selected,the wind speed was converted to wind pressure,obtained 900 groups of wind-pressure-structucture samples by combining the wind pressure and 100 groups of structure samples.The finite element calculation is carried out,the simulation results are compared with the existing test results to verify the accuracy of the simulation(2)Combined with the performance division of the vertical locking metal roof system,the performance level is quantified by the failure parameter β.The probability function of wind disaster vulnerability is proposed by analogy with the probability function of earthquake vulnerability.The simulation results of 100 groups of samples are analyzed by linear regression,and the corresponding mean value and standard deviation are obtained by statistics.Using the statistical results,the vulnerability curve is drawn.(3)Considering the uncertainty of wind load and the specific construction site,combined with the flat roof wind tunnel test data and the joint probability of wind speed and direction obtained by fitting the daily extreme wind speed and direction over 9000 days in Harbin from 1995 to 2019,the vulnerability surface of this kind of the standing seam metal roof system applied to the corner area of flat roof in Harbin is drawn,which provides the basis for performance-based wind resistance design...
