| Nowadays,the protection and repair work of historical buildings in Shanghai is advancing in the direction of depth and breadth.Many engineering projects have also achieved remarkable results.The design level and final effects of the projects have been significantly improved,but there are still many projects in the implementation process.The problem needs to be solved urgently.At this important moment of the rapid development of protection and repair projects for historical buildings,architects will face more and more actual engineering quantities and design problems,and the need to further improve design methods and improve design quality is becoming increasingly urgent.At present,traditional design methods are difficult to deal with the current challenges in some cases.Therefore,we actively seek and learn from new design theories and experiences,provide a more comprehensive and rigorous theoretical basis for design,and improve the protection and repair of historical buildings.The overall level is particularly important at this time.The evidence-based design method(EBD)is derived from evidence-based medicine(EBM)and is a design method based on the "best evidence".It bases design decisions on a large number of investigations and studies of different materials,and seeks the most appropriate design plan based on existing evidence and the actual conditions of the project,so that the final design decision has higher rigor and rationality,and at the same time After the completion of the project,the effect will be followed up and tested in real time as a new round of evidence for the follow-up design.This circular design model that advocates the systematic accumulation and use of evidence helps to break through the previous design methods based on personal experience and subjective judgment,strengthens the role of design research,and provides more evidence for follow-up projects The theoretical guidance of the design is of great and far-reaching significance for the transformation of design concepts,the improvement of design methods,the improvement of design decisions and the improvement of the overall level of design projects.The experience of many cases in the United States shows that among all disciplines in the field of architecture,the protection,restoration,and adaptive transformation of historical buildings and the environment seem to be more suitable for adopting evidence-based design methods than any other discipline.To study and learn from the application of evidence-based design methods in the protection and repair projects of historic buildings,and to actively explore optimized paths in design methods,at this time,appears to have more practical value.In this paper,by citing several examples of historical building protection and repair projects in Shanghai,this paper analyzes the specific application methods and functions of evidence-based design methods in actual projects,presenting and confirming the significance of evidence-based design methods for historical building protection and repair projects.There is reason to believe that the new evidence-based design theory will have a more profound impact on the design and research work of the preservation and repair of historical buildings,and further promote the improvement of project quality. |
