The occurrence of multiple escalator public accidents indicates that escalator accidents are malignant,the active protection function for escalator must be improved.The current design,manufacture,installation and maintenance situation of escalator shows that escalator safety accidents are the driving force to modify standards.Only the higher requirements for each environment of the lifecycle of the escalator,or the further improvement of the safety measures,are the fundamental reasons for preventing the occurrence of safety accidents and promoting the stability of the products.GB 16899-2011 instead GB 16899-1997 was implemented from the date of release.The transition period to July 31,2012,the most significant change in the new standard was the introduction of PESSRAE in the escalators and moving walks control system.The TSG T7005-2012,implemented in July 1,2012,required the escalator and moving walk manufacturing to provide a formal test certificate of"safety circuits containing electronic components,programmable electronic safety related systems,step,pallet,step chain,motor,rollers,handrail,controller,etc."This article is based on the design concept of specific control system to explain the added,modified terms of the new GB code.In addition,a simple simulator was designed to simulate the external signals of escalator,which was used to deeply explain the safety items of the GB code,especially the items related to PESSRAE.The main work of this paper is summarized as follows:(1)Introduce the reaserch background,some standards present state,difference of the new and old GB code of this project.list changes and update items of GB 16899-2011.Emphasize the safty items.(2)Based on the standard items and combined with the specific control system,deeply explain the function of the controller,as well as the safety items.Establish a standard method to study each escalator controllers.(3)Design the simlator hardware and software based on the requirements of the specific controller.Repeatedly debug the simulator to adapt run mode of the controller.Let the controller can dependently run without a real field environment.(4)To describe the standwork of simulator works in factory production procedure,use the simulator to check the controller weather fulfil the code request according to TSG T7005.Insure that the controllers can cover the contract function request.Help to make factory check report,further more,help to establish a integrated manufacturing database management system,to improve manufacturing efficiency.This paper proposes a simulation test system design based on SCM to promote the continuous improvement of checking and testing process in escalator control system.At the same time,the simulation test system can also be widely applied in various aspects such as manufacturing,parts maintenance,teaching demonstration and so on.As well as,to promote lean production,components recycling,help improve the skills of employees and so on.
