The corner reflector is an effective passive jamming equipment in the field of radar countermeasures, which plays a key role in naval battle defense, improving the survival rate of ships and other targets. In previous studies, the calculation method of "sea surface-shipdecoy" composite time-domain electromagnetic scattering are seldom involved, neither is the jamming efficiency analysis of jammer.Based on the time-domain shooting and bouncing ray method(TDSBR),the composite electromagnetic scattering characteristics and range profile of ship, corner reflector and the sea surface, the jamming effectiveness evaluation of corner reflector are studied. The thesis work is mainly carried out from the following aspects.First of all, upon extensively reading the literature,we summarize the tactical use of corner reflectors and their research results on time-domain electromagnetic scattering, point out that corner reflectors will continue to play an irreplaceable role in future battlefields(especially naval battlefields)operations, the research results of corner reflector and its composite time-domain electromagnetic scattering with the sea surface are few.Further more,it can be found that the research on the evaluation methods of corner reflector’s jamming effectiveness is insufficient. This is the purpose of this article.Secondly, based on the geometrical optics method(GO)and physical optics method(PO),the expression of the TDSBR far-region time-domain scattering field under the condition of multiple scattering effects is derived, and the method to obtain the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the target and background in the time domain is given.Based on the ray tracing theory, octree and other methods, the TDSBR algorithm program is implemented, and compared with commercial software and analytical results, the correctness of the proposed method is verified.Thirdly, for simulating radar time-domain echoes under the conditions of passive jamming in real naval battles, the sea surface model is established according to the PM spectrum,a composite model of sea surface, corner reflector, and ship is established using FEKO,based on which the surface element of the target illuminated by rays is studied. The TDSBR method is used to calculate the time-domain electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the "sea surface-ship-corner reflector" composite model, and the influence of different sea conditions and radar parameters on the time-domain scattering characteristics is analyzed. In addition, the broadband radar cross section(RCS)is obtained through Fourier transform processing. Then,in order to explore the similarity of the range profile between the corner reflector and the ship, according to the principle of stepped frequency radar imaging, the method of using the time-domain scattering results to obtain the high-resolution one-dimensional range profile(HRRP)of the target and the jammer is studied. The obtained results are compared with those in the literature to verify the reliability of the imaging algorithm.Upon calculating the HRRP of the ship and the corner reflector array, the geometric structure of the object and the peak position of the range profile are compared and analyzed, which are correlated with the spatial distribution characteristics of the scattering points. At the same time,in the microwave anechoic chamber, the standard body and the scaled ship were swept frequency measurement,,and the basic methods of using test methods to obtain one-dimensional range profiles are explored, and the reasons for the experimental errors are analyzed in combination with the simulation results. Finally, using the calculated RCS and HRRP data of the ship and the corner reflector array, based on the centroid interference intensity and the similarity of the range profile, the interference efficiency of the corner reflector arrays with different numbers, arrangement distances, and different size combinations are analyzed.Furthermore, taking the success rate of ship escaping in the dynamic sea scene as the standard, the exploratory analysis method is introduced, the combat effectiveness analysis of centroid interference under the conditions of different ship evasion methods and corner reflector launch methods was carried out.In addition, the influence of factors on the success rate of centroid interference is discussed. These studies are of great significance for the actual ship maneuver evasion and the formulation of corner reflector deployment strategies.
