As an excellent air combat platform,helicopters have been widely used in modern warfare,relying on their high mobility and strong surprise and defense capabilities,and one of the more common means of combat is helicopter group.With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and image recognition,it is foreseeable that helicopter groups will undertake more and more tasks on the battlefield in the future,and the combat environment they face will also become more and more complex.In order to ensure the operational capability of helicopter groups in the battlefield,it is necessary to equip them with data chains.The data chain strengthens the communication capability of helicopter groups and enables real-time sharing of battlefield situational information among helicopter groups.In order to study the performance of helicopter group data chains in complex battlefield environments,this paper presents a modeling and simulation study of helicopter group data chains based on Link-16 data chains using the OPNET network simulation platform.The paper focuses on the time slot allocation protocol used in the data chain,and proposes an improved hybrid time slot allocation protocol GRA-TDMA based on gray correlation analysis,which uses multiple influencing factors as the basis of time slot competition and aims to minimize time slot competition conflicts while improving the time slot utilization of nodes.The simulation results of GRA-TDMA are compared with those of fixed TDMA protocol and P-TDMA protocol in the paper,and the simulation results show that GRA-TDMA protocol has about 34% and 10%improvement in delay and throughput compared with P-TDMA protocol,and about 45% and 15%improvement compared with fixed TDMA protocol,respectively.
