Container transport began in the 1960s and entered a pattern of rapid development after the 1990s.In 1981,the global container shipping rate was only 20%,which has now reached nearly 65%.Container transport with its very high loading and unloading efficiency, easy to switch between modes of transport, effectively reduce the loss of goods and to facilitate the management of tracking and otiher advantages of the perfect fit for the modern economic globalization process of transportation requirements, and economic global after the deepening of the degree of usher in its rapid development period. However, the global financial crisis in 2008 greatly affected international trade. The liner shipping market, which is a derivative market of the global economic market, has also been plagued by unfavorable factors such as oversupply of shipping capacity, declining transportation demand and reduced revenue. At the same time,as the scale of global trade continues to grow, the scale of the container liner shipping market is also constantly expanding.Liner companies have begun to establish alliances in an attempt to control a larger market. As a result, more and more liner routes have been opened up and more and more complicated. The degree of networking is getting higher and higher. In order to meet the growing demand on the route, container ships are built more and more. The above various internal and external causes have led to an increasingly complex and ever-changing business environment.Liner companies are becoming more and more challenged in forecasting their business prospects, making major business decisions and managing daily operations of the company, and how to deal with them How to make reasonable decisions on route allocation and space allocation before the start of transport, how to increase the revenue while reducing the cost of container liner shipping, and now it has become a liner company One of the key decisions facing. This paper attempts to integrate the container liner fleet deployment problem and the slot allocation problem, using two-stage robust optimization method for collaborative research.Firstly, this paper starts with the related theories of fleet deployment, slot allocation and two-stage robust optimization, and introduces the research results in these fields both at home and abroad.Based on this, this paper constructs the two-stage robust optimization model of container liner fleet deployment and slot allocation with uncertain demand. After that,we design an example to solve the model and analyze the solution. It is proved that solving the fleet deployment and slot allocation together is feasible, and two-stage robust optimization method can be more accurate and effective solution to the problem model.
