With the rapid development of economy and technology,BIM(Building Information Modeling)technology has ushered in a new challenge in the construction field.Based on the original technology,the industry has also begun to implement BIM technology forward design.Traditional design methods can`t match the needs of today’s fast-developing industry.Due to the imperfect implementation standards of BIM technology,insufficient design accuracy of some software,and insufficient management platform functions,BIM technology is still in the process of project planning,implementation,processing,and acceptance.The lack of corresponding standards has restricted the overall development of BIM technology.The BIMbased forward design method is a brand new design process that breaks through the traditional design concept.It integrates all professional data models on the same platform,and integrates design data for reasonable optimization.As a new design method,BIM forward design has received strong attention in the field of architecture.In the application of BIM forward design,taking the architectural curtain wall design profession as a reference,applying the VPL(Visual Programming Language)parametric design method in BIM technology to conduct reasonable application research in the curtain wall design stage,in order to improve design efficiency,increase design accuracy,It saves labor costs in the design stage and reduces repetitive work,allowing designers to devote all their energy to the scheme design.VPL parametric design is one of the important applications in the field of architectural curtain wall design,and the value it brings to the curtain wall industry is immeasurable.Its data,platform,and design process provide a powerful reference for enterprises to learn and transform design ideas.Nowadays,VPL parametric design is still in its early stage and lacks relevant standards,which poses a great challenge to truly exert its application value.By applying the Rhino.Inside.Revit plug-in to the Revit platform in the VPL parametric design method,it can make up for the original shortcomings of the Revit platform and provide a strong basis for improving design accuracy,design linkage,design efficiency,and professional data docking.The article studies the existing theories and standards,and uses the research results as a reference for the implementation of VPL parametric design.By studying the specific details of the curtain wall engineering design process,the key factors of the current curtain wall engineering design problems are revealed.Finally,according to the curtain wall engineering case,the VPL parametric design method is applied in the actual project.Finally,it is concluded that the combination of the BIM forward design method in the curtain wall design stage can greatly improve the design efficiency,which is for design,construction,processing,and project management.Provide reference.
