As the key connecting element in mechanical equipment,rotating joint plays the role of transferring medium from fixed pipeline to rotating pipeline.In recent years,with the development of hydraulic machinery toward high pressure,the working pressure of rotating joint becomes higher and higher,which puts forward higher requirements for its overall working performance.This project takes the high pressure rotary joint developed for the enterprise for the first time as the research object and the structural parameter design and strength analysis of main parts are completed.The influence of medium pressure,compression,seal structure parameters and rotating speed on seal characteristics is studied by simulation method.The variation of seal wear is studied by friction and wear experiment,which further verifies the rationality of simulation results.This article mainly includes the following contents:(1)According to the design index of high pressure rotary joint,the dimension parameters of the structure are determined and the part selection is completed.Based on the unidirectional fluid-solid coupling method,the compressive performance of the rotary joint under high pressure medium is studied.The fluid inside the rotary joint is simulated,and the fluid simulation results are applied to the solid structure as loads for static analysis.The simulation result verifies that the rotating joint structure can meets the strength requirements under high pressure conditions.(2)Based on the structure of Y-type combined seal,the sealing mechanism is analyzed,and the material characteristics of the seal are described.According to the stress of the seal,the contact pressure of the combined seal surface is calculated,which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent simulation analysis of the Y-type combined seal.(3)The two-dimensional simulation model of Y-type combined seal is established by ABAQUS,which simulates the interference assembly and the loading process of medium pressure.The distribution of Von Mises stress and the contact pressure of the seal surface are obtained.The influence of medium pressure,compression amount and sealing structure parameters on the contact pressure of sealing surface is found through the analysis and simulation results.The three-dimensional model of combined seal is established,and the effect of the spindle speed on the sealing performance is analyzed by effective contact pressure method.The results show that the Y-type combined seal structure can ensure good sealing performance under the action of high pressure medium.The maximum Von Mises stress and contact pressure of the combined seal appear at the inner lip of Y-ring,and the increase of speed under high pressure condition has no effect on the contact pressure of the sealing surface.(4)The friction and wear experiments of Y-type combined seal is carried out and the effects of compression,Y-shaped slip ring camber,thickness and speed on the wear are studied.The experimental results are consistent with the simulation results.
