In industrial equipment,rolling bearing,as a very important transmission element,plays a dual role of support and rotation.Roller is the most important force bearing element in the bearing,and its appearance performance directly affects the normal operation of the equipment,so the detection of roller appearance is particularly important.Spherical roller and some largesize rollers,because of their arc shape or large size characteristics,lead to the use of conventional surface scanning camera for inspection,uneven lighting,affect the accuracy of detection,so it is necessary to study a new roller appearance detection method.Based on the machine vision inspection technology of line scan camera,this paper detects the appearance of spherical roller and large roller.The basic principle is to unfold the outer diameter surface of the roller through the rotating device,and use the line scanning camera to take the image of the outer diameter surface of the roller;Then the image is preprocessed to enhance the roller appearance defects;Finally,the image appearance defects are detected by parameterization.The above processing is based on Open CV function library.The main research contents of this paper are as follows: firstly,a roller unfolding device based on line scan camera is designed and manufactured,through which a good image of spherical surface and large-size roller outer diameter surface can be obtained;Secondly,based on defect detection,trend edge defect detection and spot detection,roller appearance parametric defect detection is realized;At the same time,different preprocessing techniques are adopted to enhance the defect contour features for three kinds of non obvious defects,namely:normalization histogram normalization,Otsu algorithm and other preprocessing techniques enhance the strip scratch defect contour features,morphological "corrosion" operation and Sobel edge operator with different weight ratios in X and Y directions Sc HARR edge detection operator preprocessing technology enhances the contour features of under wear defects.Finally,the experimental detection device is built to detect the appearance defects of spherical roller,cylindrical roller,tapered roller and other rollers,such as normal roller,roller scratch,roller pit,roller chamfer burr,roller strip scratch,roller strip scratch,roller under wear,etc.,and the satisfactory results are achieved.
