With China’s highway system gradually entering the stage of large-scale reconstruction and expansion,the traffic efficiency is reduced and the traffic congestion is obvious.This paper deeply studies the traffic characteristics of the traffic control area during the construction period of highway reconstruction and expansion,identifies the influencing factors of the delay,and establishes the corresponding delay time prediction model,which provides strong support for the formulation of the traffic organization plan of the traffic control area.First of all,the research object of this paper is the traffic control area of the construction section during the two ways two-lane reconstruction and expansion,and the traffic characteristics during the construction period are studied.The traffic flow,vehicle composition and speed of six traffic control areas are extracted from the measured data obtained by UAV aerial photography;Based on the analysis of the speed spatial distribution of different types of vehicles in each traffic control area,the location of bottleneck section in each traffic control area is preliminarily determined.Based on the bottleneck position,the traffic control is divided into warning area,access road section,straight line section,exit road section and termination area;This paper analyzes the acceleration distribution of two types of traffic control area,and uses the model fitting method and the correction coefficient method to determine the actual capacity of each section in the traffic control area,which provides a strong support for the determination of bottleneck section based on the spatial distribution of speed.Secondly,based on the number of bottleneck segments,this paper divides the studied traffic control into single bottleneck and double bottleneck traffic control areas,and establishes fixed bottleneck delay models respectively.The delay in traffic control area is defined as the difference between the actual travel time and the time passing through the control area at free flow speed after eliminating interference.According to the influencing factors of delay,the fixed bottleneck model is decomposed into average delay of single vehicle,deceleration low speed acceleration delay,queuing delay of car following and random delay,and the sum is the total delay of single vehicle in traffic control area;Different from the single bottleneck traffic control area,on the basis of the composite delay model,the double bottleneck traffic control area also needs to consider the additional delay time generated by the interaction of the two bottlenecks based on the traffic wave theory.Thirdly,this paper considers the mobility bottleneck caused by large vehicle block under heterogeneous traffic flow,and establishes an improved NS model combined with single and double fixed bottleneck theory,updates model assumptions and operation rules,and selects reasonable evaluation indexes.Finally,the established cellular simulation model of traffic control area is run and evaluated by the measured data,and the influence of traffic flow,the length of the straight section of the access road,the proportion of large vehicles and the performance of large vehicles on the average delay time of single vehicle in the traffic control area is further analyzed,and some suggestions for improving the traffic organization in the traffic control area are put forward.This paper puts forward the bottleneck judgment principle of traffic control area,further analyzes the heterogeneity of traffic flow in traffic control area,improves the cellular automata model based on fixed bottleneck and mobile bottleneck,and controls the influencing variables through simulation and evaluation,so as to explore the influence of various factors on the average delay time of single vehicle,The research of this paper has great application value in the actual highway reconstruction and expansion project.The traffic management and control measures proposed in this paper can effectively reduce the traffic delay in the traffic control area. |
