Coal mining has promoted social and economic development, but it has also brought many adverse effects on urban ecosystem and people’s production and life. With the gradual depletion of resources and the closure of mines one by one,the ecological contradictions in mining cities have gradually intensified. In the past, the ecological restoration planning mainly focused on the mining wasteland located in the outer suburbs of the city, but there was little research on the urban mining wasteland which was close to or located in the built-up area, highly intersected with the people’s production and living space, and had a huge direct impact on people’s production and life. The existing ecological restoration planning focuses on the structure and process of the ecosystem, mainly focuses on the soil and vegetation restoration, and ignores the organic integration with the urban social and economic sustainable development. Therefore,in order to solve the ecological problems after mine closure, this paper puts forward the ecological health assessment model of urban mining wasteland, and puts forward the restoration planning method based on the model. In this paper, based on the concept of ecosystem health, comprehensive use of restoration ecology and landscape ecology theory, according to the characteristics of mining city ecosystem, expand the connotation of ecological health, from the comprehensive perspective of city and mining wasteland, analyze urban ecosystem, select eight quantitative research indicators, from four dimensions(vitality, organizational power, resilience, ecosystem services)The ecological health evaluation model of urban mining wasteland was established. On the one hand, the model focuses on the health status and sustainable development capacity of urban ecosystem, including vitality, organizational power and resilience;on the other hand, the model focuses on the ecological protection provided by ecosystem to support human production and living and urban sustainable development, mainly including ecosystem services. The application of the model to the ecological restoration planning of urban mining wasteland can be divided into four steps: using the evaluation model to evaluate the status quo;determining the ecological restoration objectives;ecological restoration planning, while emphasizing the ecosystem network connection technology, zoning the ecological space of different levels;using the model again to evaluate the effectiveness of ecological restoration. In this paper,Hegang was taken as an example to carry out the quantitative study of ecological restoration planning.Although the ecological restoration planning area only accounted for 12.3%,the "healthy" area increased by 55.36%,the "relatively healthy" area increased by 153.99%,the "sub-health" area decreased by 14.72%,the "unhealthy" area decreased by 4.77%,and the "sick" area decreased by 98.57%.Therefore,this study provides a method for quantitative assessment of urban health. The planning method of urban mining wasteland ecosystem restoration proposed in this paper can accurately judge the main ecological problems of the city, and solve the problems that the traditional ecological restoration methods can not meet the coordination with the city and sustainable development. In order to seek the optimal solution of ecological restoration planning more efficiently, promote people’s living health and urban development, and provide support and guarantee for people to provide ecological livable, healthy and safe urban living environment.
