Urban park is an important spatial carrier of urban public services and a place for daily life and recreation. At present, some problems in the construction of some urban parks in China in the aspects of positioning, layout, cultural continuity, ecological restoration can be attributed to the lack of rigorous argumentation of design brief. In this context,it is necessary to propose the concept of landscape architectural programming(LAP)with the goal of studying more scientific design problems and formulating design brief more rationally. However, the concept of LAP has not yet received widespread attention from the industry and academia, and the existing research is still at an early stage, mainly drawing on research frameworks from similar disciplines and theories, the proposed operational procedures of LAP are complicated and redundant. In addition, there is a gap between research and application, which weakens the guidance and pertinence of LAP.Based on the practice of urban parks, this study investigated the perception of the concept of LAP.Then, the study compared and summarized the LAP operational procedures and characteristics in existing theories, and constructed an analysis model for the case study. Then, focusing on urban parks as an important green space type, the operational procedures of practice-based LAP for urban parks are summarized through a cross-case study of four typical urban parks in Shenzhen. Finally, the practice-based operational procedures are compared with the existing theoretical one,and the practice-based procedure is optimized to form the final operational procedures of landscape architectural programming for urban parks, which consists of six stages: Goals pre-definition、Investigation and analysis、 Conceptual and Spatial development、Goals identification、Representation、Evaluation. The study also introduced the content and methods required in each stage, and the importance of public participation, operational concept and evaluation are emphasized. This study provides a clear set of visual operational framework for landscape architectural programming of urban parks, with a view to providing a scientific and reasonable design basis for urban park construction, thereby improving the scientific and rational nature of landscape architectural practice and perfecting the theoretical and methodological system of landscape architecture. |
