With the advancement of urbanization, the trend of urban structure adjustment and industrial transformation is becoming more and more obvious. The vitality of the remaining existing urban industrial zones declines due to low efficiency, backward facilities and single surrounding business forms, resulting in a waste of resources and the current urban environment. At present, most of the transformation of industrial zones still focus on the physical environment level, such as the transformation of single buildings of factories, and less attention is paid to the walking accessibility and the rationality of supporting facilities.By introducing the theory and tools of urban network analysis and combining with big data to analyze the spatial accessibility and facilities status of existing urban industrial zones,a set of operational design strategies are provided for the spatial improvement design of existing urban industrial zones.Taking the existing urban industrial zone in Shenzhen as the research object, this paper adopts the method of urban network analysis, combined with the multi-source big data such as POI and Baidu Insights Heat Map of Population,to study the overall improvement of urban street network.Firstly, this paper sorts out the related theories of the existing urban industrial zones and urban network analysis, seeks to apply the urban network analysis method to the joint point of the renewal and promotion of the existing urban industrial zones, and establishes the evaluation model of the existing urban industrial zones in Shenzhen based on the urban network analysis.Secondly, based on the development history and transformation demands of Shenzhen’s industrial zone, the transformation of typical existing urban industrial zones in Shenzhen is selected as the urban network analysis object. The quantitative simulation analysis of its pedestrian network and facility space is carried out by using 5methods of Urban Network Analysis, including POI core density analysis, accessibility index, redundant paths and redundancy index, closest facility, with the analysis of betweenness and find patronage. Thus, the design principles for space improvement is proposed based on the analysis. Then, combined with the measurement index of urban network analysis, the spatial improvement design strategy of existing urban industrial zones is summarized. The urban network analysis method can be used to make a visual evaluation of the overall pedestrian network status and facilities in existing urban industrial zones in Shenzhen.Based on the analysis results, six upgrading design principles are extracted based on the existing urban industrial zone reconstruction theories, including the linkage development of production city, the continuation and inheritance of context, the functional adaptation and reconstruction, the optimization of pedestrian network, the comprehensive flexibility of supporting facilities and the gradual sustainability. The spatial enhancement strategies of existing industrial areas in Shenzhen are summarized as follows: the overall enhancement strategy of industry-city integration focuses on the coordination of industry-city and the continuation of cultural lineage;the pedestrian traffic optimization design strategy includes the continuous organization of traffic, the permeation of street network and the wisdom of street vitality;the enhancement strategy of supporting facilities includes the optimization design strategy of site selection and distribution of supporting facilities;the functional space remodeling strategy covers the optimization design of functional space network and industry adaptability;the design strategy of sustainable ecological renewal is reflected in the establishment of scientific greening system and the construction of characteristic ecological nodes.
