At present,based on development needs of economy and society in China,especially the historical opportunities brought by the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games,the ice and snow industry is in the stage of vigorous development.As a part of the ice and snow industry,ice and snow architecture has always played an important role in ice and snow tourism and ice and snow landscape.With the developing science and technology,new breakthroughs of ice and snow architecture are coming into being,to boost ice and snow industry.Ice shell is an innovative ice and snow architecture form which is developing rapidly.Since the research and construction began in China in 2016,it has reached the world advanced level in a short period of time.The innovation of shape,particularity of materials,environmental friendliness and structural superiority of ice shell buildings reflect great development space and application prospect.Compared with other shell forms,the development of ice shell is lagging behind.The main reason is that the mechanical properties of ice and snow materials are poor,so it is difficult to be used as building materials.Through the research of materials,the performance of ice and snow materials has been improved,and for the design of ice shell,the consistency of its structure and form is more important.Structural morphology is a guiding theory for designers to achieve efficient spatial structure.The appearance of ice shell is based on the development of spatial structure.Based on the basic theory of the relationship between structure and morphology,this paper attempts to put forward a design guidance system for the form of inflatable membrane ice shell,optimize the form finding method,solve existing problems,improve structural performance,and use structural analysis and optimization algorithm to generate reasonable ice shell form.Firstly,this paper sorts out the theory of structural morphology and parametric design to provide theoretical basis and technical support for the research of specific problems.Then,based on the characteristics of inflatable membrane ice shell,the main influencing factors of ice shell form design and the important relationship between its architectural structure and architectural form are explored,and the inflatable membrane ice shell design system bearing with "form" and "force" is preliminarily established.Then,based on the parametric design process,a parametric design process suitable for the inflatable membrane ice shell is proposed.After that,through the mechanical simulation method to qualitatively analyze ice shell formation,from the ideal form to the inflatable form,and put forward to improve the performance of the ice shell optimization form finding methods.Through the structural performance analysis and optimization algorithm to further quantitatively analyze the ice shell form generation,use structural analysis to verify that the optimization form finding methods can improve the structural performance of the ice shell,enrich the form of ice shell,and through the optimization algorithm can optimize the form to get the optimal structural performance.Qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis interact to form a dynamic design system,and then applied to practical projects to verify the feasibility of the design method.
