| The ball joint is a special power transmission component that can stably transmit torque when there is an angle between the input shaft and the output shaft and the angle changes rapidly.This structure is most commonly used on the drive shaft of an automobile to solve the problem that power and motion still need to be smoothly transmitted when the rotation and deflection of the central axis of rotation of the automobile tires during the steering and bounce process.As an important structure in the automobile transmission system,the strength of the ball joint has a significant impact on the reliability of the automobile power transmission.In order to better analyze the cause of damage of the ball joint under extreme conditions,and optimize and improve the existing ball joint,this paper conducts a research on the strength calculation method of the ball joint.The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1)The contact stress limit of the ball path of the ball joint is studied,and the strength of different parts of the ball joint at different positions is studied.According to the material properties and hardness test,the material strength on the contact surface of the ball joint is tested,and the torsional strength of the ball joint assembly at different angles is tested through the torsion failure test.The experimental results are used to analyze the strength of the ball joint at different positions and the damage position and characteristics of the torsion test of the ball joint at different working angles.(2)Through the quasi-static finite element simulation of the ball joint,the analysis results of the Hertz contact model and the finite element model in the ideal state are compared and analyzed,and a simplified finite element analysis method is proposed.The hardness test is simulated and analyzed,the surface hardness is studied,and the material is estimated.The quasi-static finite element analysis of the ball joint assembly is carried out to analyze the stress distribution of the ball joint under different phase angles.Study the internal force and stress distribution of the ball joint,and analyze the mechanism of the ball joint and its failure.(3)Through the results of experiment and simulation analysis,analyze the force of the ball cage universal joint under large-angle working conditions,discuss and analyze the weak position of the cage,and propose a reasonable design value range for the key dimensions of the key parts And study the irrationality in the original design of the cage. |
