Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of industrialization,China’s urbanization construction has achieved remarkable results. However,a large urban population concentration not only injects strong power into economic growth but also inevitably produces certain negative effects, especially the urban traffic problems. The continuous and rapid growth of vehicle ownership makes urban traffic face unprecedented pressure, which brings a series of problems such as traffic congestion, energy consumption, environmental pollution, and so on,which seriously restricts the healthy and sustainable development of the economy and society. In this context, how to build a more reasonable urban transportation system and realize the coordinated development of urban transportation and resources and the environment has become an urgent theoretical and practical issue. At present, the research on urban transportation and built environment is mostly about a single mode of travel, and the data obtained is from traditional data sources, which has certain constraints on data diversity and precision. In this study, the subway passenger flow and taxi passenger flow are taken as the research objects, and the characteristics of different built-up environment elements around the subway are depicted by urban POI data,Tencent location data, and other multi-source data. The relationship and spatiotemporal heterogeneity of different built-up environment elements to residents’ travel under global regression and local regression is analyzed at the hourly scale, and the POI score is studied through the division of station functions The influence of distribution, external connection level of transportation, and population activity on subway passenger flow and taxi passenger flow in different functional stations. The main contents of this paper include:(1)From the perspective of global regression, the ordinary least squares OLS linear regression model is used to solve the regression model of subway passenger flow and influencing factor set. From the perspective of local regression, the time and space parameters are included in the model, and the GTWR model is used to explore the temporal and spatial distribution of three building environment-related factors:subway station passenger flow, taxi passenger flow, and subway surrounding facilities distribution factors, external traffic connection level, and population activity. The results show that the fitting effect of GTWR is much better than the OLS model.(2)According to the characteristics of land use around Xi’an subway,Xi’an subway stations are divided into four types by K-means clustering, which are defined as transportation hub oriented stations, residential oriented stations,office-oriented stations, and entertainmentoriented stations, and the passenger flow patterns of the four types of stations are obtained.(3)According to the results of function type division in subway stations, firstly, the travel time, travel distance, and travel area distribution characteristics of subway travel, taxi travel within the service scope of stations are analyzed.Secondly, based on the division of station functions, this paper analyzes the impact of built-up environmental factors on subway and taxi travel modes from three dimensions of facility distribution, external connection level of transportation, and population activity.
