Bicycle travel is an important means of transportation to solve the "last mile" travel.However,due to the uneven distribution of road space resources,the road width left for bicycles and other non-motorized vehicles is insufficient,resulting in the non-motor vehicle right of way cannot be guaranteed.At the same time,for roads with strong spatial connectivity,such as urban expressways and arterial roads,it is difficult to solve the problems of long detours,retrogrades,and occupation of sidewalks caused by the use of one-way traffic,which leads to traffic participation.The safety of passengers and the continuity of traffic flow are difficult to guarantee.Two-way traffic can reduce the need for bicycles to cross motor lanes,therefore,studying the characteristics of two-way bicycle traffic flow is of great significance to the planning and design of unilateral two-way bicycle lanes.(1)Obtain macro data such as the attributes of people and vehicles,parallelism and overtaking ratios through two-way bicycle traffic survey experiments;focusing on factors such as the riding status of the human-vehicle system,the boundary form,and the width of the lane,the horizontal spacing,lateral clear distance,track width,head spacing,acceleration and deceleration,and speed density of the two-way bicycle individual units in the same and different directions are analyzed.characteristic.(2)Based on the improved micro-simulation model of social forces,construct individual units including human-vehicle systems and perception domains;analyzed the mechanism of interaction between the individual units of the central dividing line of the two-way bicycle lanes in different directions,introduced the interaction force formula,and studied the influence of different forms of boundaries on bicycles in the same and different directions;using the improved transcendence force and the traditional driving force formula,a two-way bicycle microscopic simulation model was constructed.(3)The relevant parameters in the two-way bicycle micro-simulation model were calibrated with survey experimental data;a two-way bicycle microscopic simulation platform was built based on Matlab,and the effectiveness of the model was verified from the simulation scene analysis and the basic speed-density diagram.(4)From the perspective of practical engineering applications,select the traffic load factor and the occupied area as evaluation indicators to evaluate the service level of two-way lanes under different lane widths,road boundary combinations and traffic flow conditions,and divide them into four levels.Considering the current state of urban road traffic in my country,class C is used as the design standard for two-way bicycle lanes,it is recommended that the maximum width of one-sided two-way bicycle roads is 5m,and curbs are used as separation measures on both sides of the road,when the two-way traffic flow is less than 2000bicycle/h,it is recommended to use hot melt lines and other methods to softly isolate different forms of traffic.The simulation of three actual urban road scenes not only verified the rationality of the model,but also provided a theoretical basis for the reasonable planning and design of two-way bicycle lanes.The research results of this paper can provide a theoretical basis for the planning and design of unilateral two-way bicycle lanes on newly constructed,renovated and expanded roads and the rational allocation of overall road resources.It is expected that road resources can be used rationally and traffic efficiency can be improved.
