With the continuous development of cities,the process of urbanization is accelerated,and the problem of traffic congestion is increasingly prominent.Traffic congestion will not only affect the normal life of residents,but also cause frequent traffic accidents,environmental pollution and other problems.From the perspective of traffic engineering,the most simple and efficient solution is to optimize the signal control at the key intersections in the road network.The artery bear a large amount of traffic flow in the road network,which often leads to the phenomenon of queuing and congestion due to the surge of traffic flow in rush hours.Therefore,it is of great significance to implement coordinated control of arterial signal for alleviating the traffic pressure of urban road network.In the traditional signal coordination control of artery,the intersection with maximum cycle is often directly selected as the key intersection,and its cycle is taken as the common cycle of artery system.Different from the traditional thinking,this paper tries to select the intersection with the highest importance in the artery as the key intersection,and its cycle as the public cycle to carry out coordination control.Therefore,this paper focuses on the search and discrimination of key intersections,subarea division method and subarea public cycle selection.The main research contents are as follows:First of all,based on the site survey data of Sanlihe East Road in Beijing,this paper analyzes and evaluates the traffic data of ten intersections on the main road.Secondly,the paper introduces the key intersection method,choose five traffic evaluation index,and set up different important degree evaluation model of intersection traffic condition,the main important degree of each intersection on the calculation and ranking,to later after the main sub area,each area provides the basis for the selection of key intersection.Then,considering the influence of the number of intersections on the coordination control effect of the artery,the case artery was analyzed by using the three-segregated zone division method,which were the Synchro sub-zone division model,the comprehensive relational degree model considering the traffic demand characteristics and the geometric characteristics of the sections,and the grey relational grade-SOM clustering model.From different angles and various methods,the strategies of dividing eight seed regions were obtained.Finally,when the sub-area coordinated control is carried out,each sub-area chooses the cycle of the key intersection identified in this paper as the common cycle of the system,so as to form the scheme in this paper and make a contrast with the traditional signal control scheme.With the help of Synchro software,the output indexes under different schemes are analyzed and evaluated,so as to verify the rationality and practicability of the ideas in this paper.
