With the continuous development of social and economic today,the city size has greatly expanded,and traffic demand has also increased.Traffic control technology continues to make progress with the social needs and the development of science.Intelligent control and optimization algorithm for intelligent traffic development plays a vital role as well.In this dissertation,a particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is proposed to optimize the traffic flow control model for urban arterial traffic,and the traditional numerical solution and MAXBAND method are improved respectively.First of all,it is discussed,this dissertation,the background and significance of the problem of urban traffic flow coordination optimization,and the status quo of development at home and abroad in this field.Then,the basic concepts of traffic signals are discussed,such as basic parameters,control strategies and fundamental performance indexes.Aiming at the optimization of traffic flow in urban arterial roads in the dissertation,the basic concepts and basic theories of coordinated control of arterial traffic are also discussed.Then,the mathematical model of arterial road is investigated,and the average delay model,queuing length and parking rate model are established.And the basic definition and significance of multi-objective optimization problem are given.Then,this dissertation puts forward the procedure of the optimization of the traffic model by using the particle swarm optimization algorithm,the classical numerical solution and its improvement,and the MAXBAND maximum green wave bandwidth optimization method and the improvement of its model.Finally,this dissertation builds a sample road on the simulation platform VISSIM,and simulates the optimization result on the road.The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method and the superiority of the traditional method and the improved method.
