The exploration of the ideal city model has always been a worldwide concern.China ’s exploration of ecological civilization construction has experienced a transition process from "land gardening" to "garden city",then to "ecological garden city".Since February 2018,General Secretary Xi pointed out that the construction of the Tianfu New District should highlight the characteristics of the park city when visiting Chengdu Tianfu New District,Sichuan Province.Scholars from various disciplines such as urban planning and landscape architecture began to discuss the development of the new concept,park city.However,there is no common understanding about the connotation,standards,indicators and paths of park city.In this situation,the planning and construction of Chengdu Tianfu New District is forward-looking and meaningful.With the goal of creating a model of new-age park city and a high-quality development model of national-level new district,it pays attention to ecosystem protection and improvement based on the requirement of park city.Taking the typical sample of park city as the research object,discussing the new mode of urban development in China from the perspective of national strategy is the origin of this researchThis research uses software such as ENVI 5.3,Fragstats 4.2 and Arcmap 10.2.2,combined with the relevant theories of urban morphology and landscape ecology,in order to deeply analyze the planning background,concept and paths of Chengdu Tianfu New District from the core level.It is also vital to avoid listing simple indicator systems,focus on the formation of the park city paradigm and discuss the planning logic behind.Specific research contents include:(1)Sort out the development process and spatial structure of Chengdu Tianfu New District and analyze its ecosystem status and ecological safety value.(2)Analyze the evolution of construction land and ecological spatial pattern in Chengdu Tianfu New District in the past 20 years.ENVI5.3 software is used to perform pre-processing operations and land use classification on the selected five-phase Landsat Series of satellite remote sensing images.At the same time,building a landscape pattern index system and selecting suitable landscape index is crucial.Fragstats4.2 software is used to analyze the structural characteristics and spatio-temporal changes of its ecological spatial pattern from five aspects to describe the characteristics and changes of its land use types.(3)Based on the matrix-plaque-corridor ecology theory,this paper analyzes the protection and construction of the ecological background of the Tianfu New District in detail,and also discusses the coupling relationship between its form and ecology,and summarizes the forward-looking and characteristic of its planning.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)From 2000 to 2019,the land use and landscape cover of Tianfu New District has undergone dramatic changes,a transformation from natural landscapes into artificial landscapes.The combination of land use there is mainly based on construction land and cultivated land.Cultivated land and grassland are the dominant types of landscape,but its dominance decreases year by year.The land use structure of the Tianfu New District is in a stage of rapid adjustment.The quantitative changing characteristics of different land use types are obviously different,and the overall landscape type change speed is increasing.Among these land use,the construction land change is the most active where the area continues to grow and the reunion degree increases.Meanwhile,the area of cultivated land has dropped significantly when the degree of fragmentation has increased.The woodland area increased slightly when the degree of reunion increased.The changes in waters are relatively stable,and the area and distribution remain basically unchanged.The land use pattern in the Tianfu New District has a developing trend,from simple to complex to stabilized.The degree of land use continues to increase when the patch combination tends to be balanced and decentralized.Population growth,economic development,regional policies,and urban planning jointly promote changes in the landscape pattern of the study area.(2)The coupling relationship between urban form and ecology in Tianfu New District is that the coupling degree between urban form and ecology is relatively high and its urban development integrates urban form and ecology.The forward-looking prospect and characteristic of the planning of Tianfu New District is to construct the ecological background ingeniously,and organically artificially created urban function blocks into the ecological background structure on the basis of respecting the natural background.Chengdu Tianfu New District is not only a model of park city,but also a preliminary demonstration of the new paradigm of future urban development in China.The construction of urban living environment in China will become an important part of ecological civilization construction.
