The development of autonomous driving technologies has brought new human-machine relationships,and the human-machine interface of driverless cars also needs to be improved to match the new humanmachine relationships under the new technology.Driverless cars can obtain information about other vehicles around them through a multi-vehicle collaboration system.How to present this information in in-car interactive devices has become challenges to be overcome in the development of driverless technology.Also,unlike traditional manual vehicles,the driver can communicate with other road users outside the vehicle.The lack of communication between pedestrians,vehicle drivers,and driverless cars also leads to people’s misunderstanding and mistrust of the decision-making behavior of autonomous vehicles,which in turn leads to a reduction in traffic efficiency.Based on the development history and current situation of driverless cars,human-machine interfaces,and multi-vehicle information interaction,the challenges faced by driverless cars are analyzed,the significance of human-machine interfaces to driverless cars are explored,and on this basis,the design goals are Summarized.Secondly,the human-machine interface information required for a safe and reliable driverless car is analyzed through the cognitive work analysis method,and the questionnaire survey is used to verify the driverless car interface content and collect the user needs.According to the acquired humanmachine interface information,the card-sorting experiment was designed and hierarchical clustering analysis was performed,resulting in a human-machine interface information architecture.Based on the design goals,human-machine interface information,and information architecture,the author carried out the interface element design and the interface element cognition assessment.At last,the interface design and usability tests are carried out.The reliability of the design of the autonomous vehicle interface proven by these evaluations.
