| With the continuous development of society,energy and environment have become increasingly prominent problems.According to statistics,the largest energy consumption comes from buildings,especially public buildings.As a public building of education,university library is with large construction scale,using for a long time,great energy consumption,so the main goal of the current library light environment construction is how to use the natural lighting scientificaly,reduce building lighting,and achieve green energy conservation.Library is a typical building of the school,which is an important place for literature retrieval,academic exchange and student learning.Creating a good library light environment is related to students’ learning efficiency and visual health directly.Shantou University Library has been regarded as one of the most influential architectural representative works in the 21 st century.I take it as a typical case in my paper.I get a full understanding of Shantou University Library’s natural lighting and artificial lighting status quo and a comprehensive evaluation of Shantou University Library’s light environment quality from field visits,on-site testing and questionnaire.This paper can provide us with some reference for the future construction of university library and the optimization of energy saving.The main contents of this study are as follows:(1)We laid a aid a good theoretical foundation through literature research to understand the current situation and development trend of the light environment of university libraries at home and abroad.(2)We know the overall planning,functional zoning,architectural features,structural materials and light environment design of Shantou University Library through field visits.(3)Through the field measurement,we can understand the specific illumination,average illumination,uniformity and other important indicators,quantitative analysis of its natural lighting and artificial lighting.(4)We know the reader’s satisfaction with the light environment of the Library from the questionair and understand the user’s real use evaluation from subjective data and interview feedback.(5)Using the data and materials from the above field visits,field measurements and questionnaire research and the evaluation standards of China’s "library lighting design norms" and "building lighting design standards" to analyze the library’s light environment,we sum up the library’s highlights and shortcomings,and put forward some strategies.The results show that the library’s overall light environment is good.The measured compliance rate is 86.66%,and the user’s satisfaction with the light environment is about 74.21%.Objective measures are basically the same as subjective question-and-answer results.Of course,there are some shortcomings.The average illumination of reading hall,atrium exhibition hall at night is lower than the standard value and the illumination is not uniform enough.Light difference is large at the daytime and at night in self-study area on the first floor.Desktop glare,window dazzling and other issues are also existed in the self-study.All the above problems will make students feel fatigue and unhealthy while reading in it.In view of these problems,the author analyzes the reasons and gives the corresponding solutions,and optimizes the light environment on the basis of the original design to alleviate the user’s visual fatigue.We can start from five aspects:(1)Adjust the light by shading facilities and replacing lighting lamps;(2)Change the facing material,change the type of lamps,reduce or prevent the glare of working face;(3)The intelligent induction system is designed to adjust the illumination in different areas to improve the uneven illumination;(4)Artificial lighting at the bottom of atrium is supplemented based on natural lighting;(5)According to different areas,we should use multiple energy-saving lamps and strengthen energy-saving management and publicity. |
