Urban Furniture Design From The Perspective Of Public Art

In the late 20 th century,the concept of "city furniture" first appeared in some developed countries in Europe.According to the literal translation,urban furniture is called "street furniture" in the UK;In Spain,it is called "urban element";In Japan,it is called "street furniture",which has slightly different meanings,but also contains the spirit of humanistic care and unlimited expectations for urban life.Under the same era background,China is in a period of great change.In order to keep up with the rapid urbanization and large-scale urban construction,most of the public facilities parts have been mass-produced,and even can supply the whole country cities at the same time.Therefore,China’s urban construction has long presented an extensive feature of "the same wind in North and south,the same in East and west",which is the biggest feature of China’s "public facilities".In recent years,some objective conditions in the construction of urban public space are gradually mature.In order to better construct urban public space,various domestic explorations of "urban furniture design" emerge in endlessly.The author thinks that it is a very worthwhile direction to control the urban furniture design work by using the public artistic creative thought in the process of designing urban furniture.This paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,focusing on the development status of urban furniture at home and abroad,looking forward to the future trend of urban furniture design in China,and displaying the innovation of this paper and some research methods that will be used;The second chapter describes the characteristics and scope of public service urban furniture in urban furniture,explains the perspective of public art,and analyzes the reference value of public art to the design and research of public service urban furniture;The third chapter lists five design principles and application methods of public service urban furniture design;The fourth chapter introduces and analyzes some classic cases at home and abroad;The fifth chapter,combined with personal design practice,discusses the influence and Inspiration of public art on public service urban furniture design.
