| In the 1920 s and 1940 s,the construction and development of the old urban north area on the edge zone of Nanchang City was under the influence of the urban construction and planning system of the old city;at the same time,in the modern history of Nanchang,the city underwent a special period of ideological collisions,regime changes,and frequent wars during the period from 1920 to 1940 s,leading to twists and turns in the implementation of Nanchang’s urban construction plan.Therefore,Nanchang old northern area in the 1920 s and1940s is of great sample significance in the study of modern Nanchang’s urban morphology in modern times.Based on Conzen’s urban morphology,through the method of analyzing historical maps of various periods,in combination with historical documents,this paper studies the urban physical space morphology in Nanchang old northern area from 1920 to 1940,aiming to provide useful supplement to the existing research on Nanchang city from the perspective of urban morphology.In the main text,this paper first reviews the urban development history of Nanchang in modern times,and then conducts in-depth analysis of the morphology of Nanchang old northern area in the 1920 s,1930s,and 1940 s.Firstly,the paper analyzes the elements of overall urban morphology,including the analysis of the historical background,morphological characteristics,spatial pattern,land use,and road network structure of Nanchang old northern area;second,the paper analyzes the local urban morphological elements,including the scale and boundaries of built-up areas,natural elements,road systems,and patch types during the period.In the conclusion part,the author firstly summarizes the evolution process of the morphological elements of Nanchang old northern area during three periods;second,this part summarizes its evolution characteristics;third,this part explores the dynamic factors of its evolution;finally,the author proposes some views on urban renewal and renovation. |
