Research On Barrier-Free Design For Visual And Auditory Disabilities In The Museum

This research takes the Guangdong Provincial Museum,Guangzhou Metro Museum,Guangzhou Oriental Museum,etc.as the research objects,the museum’s barrier-free design inspection is carried out through the experience of visually impaired visitors to understand the current status of museum barrier-free construction in my country.First,sort out the norms and standards of the museum ’ s barrier-free construction,then,according to the museum’s barrier-free construction standards,the barrier-free design test of domestic museums,analysis and testing items,summarize the most frequently violated types of museum barrier-free design,evaluate the performance of the barrier-free design of domestic museums as a basis for improving the barrier-free design of museums.On the basis of user experience,discussed the visit needs of the visually impaired,summarizes the design process and design elements of the barrier-free design of the museum for the visually impaired and the design method applied in each stage.Analyze the factors affecting the barrier-free design of the museum,make reference for subsequent museum barrier-free design research.Finally according to the research results,summarize the practical approach of museum barrier-free design,make a basis for the future revision of museum barrier-free design and development of museum barrier-free design,improve the level of museum barrier-free design.The results of the study found that the barrier-free design of museums in my country is still in the exploratory stage.In terms of barrier-free environment construction,there are problems of inadequate implementation and maintenance;in terms of barrier-free information construction,there is a single display method,and the visually impaired cannot fully understand the exhibit information.In terms of services for the visually impaired,there are problems such as lack of resources,few service items,low utilization rate of museum services,and lack of initiative in museum services.Finally,suggestions are made based on the research results: 1,online APP application design,"you are my eye" volunteer service APP,volunteers are the eyes of the visually impaired and lead the visually impaired to visit the museum.2,the design of offline contact points will comprehensively build a barrier-free environment for the visually impaired,so that the museum can perform its due service functions,so that all users can obtain information on an equal basis.
