With the rapid development of various means of transportation(such as automobiles,high-speed trains,ships,aircraft,spacecraft,etc.),the application of energy absorption structures,especially origami structures in the field of engineering,is of great significance to the development of modern society.To study the safety requirements of structures and materials in special engineering applications,it is necessary to analyze the energy absorption behavior of structures and materials under static and impact loads.Miura-ori structure is one of the classic origami structures with many unique and desirable material properties,such as expansibility,adjustable nonlinear stiffness,multiple stability and impact absorption properties.According to the energy absorption characteristics and forming process of Miura-Ori structure,the following contents were studied in this paper:(1)The section line and guide line are proposed to characterize the geometric model of Miura-ori cell.Based on the static and dynamic loading models of Miura-ori cell,the deformation characteristics of Miura-ori cell were analyzed,and the influence of structural parameters on the mechanical properties and energy absorption characteristics of Miura-ori cell was revealed.(2)The Miura-ori plane topological structure was constructed to reveal the deformation characteristics and energy absorption law of the Miura-ori plane under dynamic loading.The proportion of the inelastic dissipated energy in the internal energy is taken as the evaluation index of the energy absorption capacity,and the influence law of the section and the length of the loading direction on the energy absorption capacity is given.(3)Through the analysis of the force of billet in the Miura-Ori single pass progressive forming process,the distribution law of plate thickness in the forming process was revealed.Using numerical simulation combined with experiment,the single-pass progressive forming process of Miura-ori plane topology structure was studied through numerical simulation.Taking the thinning rate as the evaluation index of forming quality,the influence of different structural parameters on the forming quality of Miura-ori plane topology structure was analyzed.(4)Combining with the principle of multi-pass progressive forming,two kinds of transition cell structures of preforming,namely arc-shaped section and trapezoidal section,were designed.The multi-pass progressive forming process was studied by combining numerical simulation and experiment.Taking the thinning rate and warpage degree of sheet metal as the evaluation index of forming quality,three kinds of forming processes proposed in this paper were evaluated,and the better forming quality process was obtained.
