Study On The Renewal Design Of The Streets In The Old City Center

The central area of the old city was formed during the long-term development of the city,and has accumulated many historical,cultural and folk customs that are valuable for protection.With the development of old city reconstruction in recent years,urban renewal activities that only consider economic benefits have destroyed the historical and cultural environment of the city.This includes many street renovations that ignore historical and cultural heritage.Therefore,finding a street renewal strategy in the central area of the old city that can harmonize material renewal with the inheritance of historical culture is very necessary for the protection of Chinese historical culture.This article uses street renewal as the starting point.First,it briefly summarizes the theoretical research of the old city center and street renewal,summarizes the development trend of street renewal and the particularity of the streets in the old city center;then selects three typical old Chongqing Field investigations were conducted on the streets in the central area of the city,and the problems existing in the streets in the central area of the old city were analyzed and summarized.On this basis,study the relevant excellent cases,explore the design strategy of street renewal in the old city center;finally relying on the reconstruction design project of Citong Road in Ciqikou,Chongqing City,explore the feasibility and rationality of this strategy in practice.Finally,the following main conclusions are summarized:1.Based on the summary of theories and practices related to the renewal of the old city center and streets,the future street renewal of the old city center will pay more and more attention to the participation and diversity of the street as a public space,as well as the city represented by the old city center.Characteristic and sustainable development of street renewal.2.Select typical streets in the old central area of Chongqing,conduct investigations from street functions,spatial interfaces,traffic conditions,public spaces,supporting facilities,and regional cultural characteristics,and summarize and summarize the existing existing central areas of the old city The problem.3.Based on the previous research results,in response to the previous problems of streets in the old city center area,a design strategy for street renewal in the old city center area was proposed,trying to optimize the functions of the street,the continuation of the space interface,the adjustment of traffic organization,the activation of public space,and the supporting facilities.The six aspects of perfect facilities and cultural features were discussed in depth,and design strategies were put forward.
