Primary Study On Renewal Methods Old City-The Case Of Kuan Street In Chengdu City

City renewal is a hot issue, which has drawn much attention and devotion of Chinese planners. Old city has been regarded as important role in society,culture and economy development by diversified aspects. Now the old cities in our country is being face many problem .Based on the analyses of old city renewal theory and taken the case of chengdu kuanzhai street program, The paper study the Chinese old city renewal theories and methods in order to solve the problem of inner city decline .The thesis is constructed by three main parts:First part is theory research which is the base of the thesis. The author review the acquaintance process of old city renewal and analysis the history, theory and construction practice of old city renewal about west developed country and China.The second part is chapter three which focuses on the practice of chengdu kuanzhai street program. The main is how to plan and design and its characters.The three part is Chapter4-5: the emphases is to construction of a new systemic renewal stratagem, and to give some roles of old city renewal.
