Design And Realization Of Information Processing Add-In For Chart Cultural Features

Cultural features are one of the important elements of chart.They are close to the coastal zone and are easily affected by many factors such as natural,human and other.In the traditional cartographic mode,cartographers need to continuously collect paper-based documents issued by maritime,transportation,waterway and other departments that contain the change information of cultural features for analysis and processing,and then apply them to the chart correction.This mode needs a lot of manpower and time,so it is difficult to guarantee the timeliness of cultural features information.At present,more and more relevant departments choose to use the Internet to release cultural features information,which has the characteristics of fast updating speed and wide publishing range.Therefore,it is of great significance to quickly obtain and process the information of cultural features published on the Internet and apply it to the production,update and republication of the charts.This paper takes the cultural features in the national standard digital chart as the main research object,analyzes the change process of the chart production system and the development of ArcGIS Add-In technology,and clarifies the research ideas.Based on the analysis of cultural featural data sources,major domestic publishing websites,and the research on key technologies such as web crawler technology and GIS spatial analysis,puts forward the overall scheme of developing cultural feature information processing tool component based on ArcGIS Add-In technology and My SQL database,using Python and other mixed programming languages.Among them,the Add-In of chart cultural features information processing is based on ArcGIS,which is composed of toolbar and toolbox.It mainly includes the following functional modules :(1)Data acquisition and storage : Using web crawler technology to obtain and download the relevant content in the information publishing website,and stored in the cultural features ground source database;(2)Data extraction and revision: clean and standardize the data in the source database,extract the key information in the content,and store it in the cultural features pre-processing database;(3)Data element grouping: combined with SQL expression,the cultural features information is grouped and screened,and the split results are output and saved in the form of table;(4)Layer data conversion: convert text cultural features data to corresponding SHP layer to realize the visualization of cultural features;(5)Identification of nearshore properties: constructing near-shore buffer zone,overlaying analysis of artificial ground objects,screening and retaining near-shore cultural features;(6)Element code entry: add attributes to cultural features with missing attributes,and input corresponding national standard chart code for all nearshore cultural features,docking the integrated production system of chart;(7)layer data overlay: overlay the layer of inshore cultural features with the base map of chart,sav e and output the visualization results.Taking Shanghai as the research area,the function of the Add-In is tested,and a series of processes such as the acquisition,processing,visualization and output of the cultural features in Shanghai published online are realized.Application cases show that :(1)The Add-In have clear functions,are easy to transmit and share,and can be well integrated into the ArcGIS framework to achieve various functions;(2)The Add-In can make the process of obtaining and processing the cultural feature information operational,simplify the operation process,improve efficiency,and at the same time,ensure the current situation and reliability of the data to the greatest extent;(3)Constructed the cultural features source database and pre-processing database.The data format of cultural features is standardized,which is helpful for cartographers to manage,retrieve and apply;(4)The national standard chart code is input for the cultural features,which is convenient for the later data to be connected with the integrated chart production system,and an auxiliary tool for cartographers to improve the efficiency of chart production,update and reprint.
