| The rapid transformation of the world economy makes the trade in goods and services of all countries develop rapidly.Among them,more than 80% of the world’s international trade in goods and more than 90% of developing countries’ international trade in goods are completed by sea,and port is an important node of ocean transportation.Therefore,the port transportation service trade occupies an increasingly important position in the transportation service trade.The container transport service trade is one of the main maritime transport methods,and its growth rate has greatly exceeded other maritime transport methods.The occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused huge losses to global international trade,which has had varying degrees of impact on international transport service trade and international port transport service trade and has also had a greater negative impact on the economic development of various countries.Therefore,the research on crisis response to the port container transportation service trade is becoming more and more important.By improving and optimizing the crisis response mechanism,the negative impact is reduced and economic development is promoted.This article uses the crisis life cycle theory,taking the Shanghai Port international transportation service trade under the COVID-19 pandemic as an example,and adopts a mixed research method combining quantitative and qualitative research.Mainly studied the consistency of the impact of the national ports and the Shanghai port under the COVID-19 pandemic,reflecting the strong representativeness of the Shanghai port in the national ports;further research and analysis under the COVID-19 pandemic,the correlation between the Shanghai export container freight index and Shanghai port container throughput and Shanghai port production efficiency,it is found that there is a Granger causality between the container throughput of Shanghai Port and the production efficiency of Shanghai Port,which directly affects the production efficiency of Shanghai Port and is positively correlated.In addition,the Shanghai Export Container Freight Index has also undergone a different change from the normal situation,which is positively correlated with Shanghai Port’s container throughput and Shanghai Port’s production efficiency under certain circumstances.Finally,the existing crisis response mechanism of Shanghai Port was introduced,and relevant optimization suggestions were put forward.The main innovation in the research process of this article is reflected in the empirical selection of Shanghai Port as a case study,methodologically,a mixed-method combining quantitative and qualitative research is selected,it also studied the different correlations between freight index and throughput under normal conditions under certain circumstances. |
