| Electric vehicles receive more attention worldwide,viewed not only as an environmental solution but also as good,long-term business investment.Current Chinese automobile market already shows signs of movement towards "green technology," and soon every manufacturer in China will have to produce New Energy Vehicles.New Energy Vehicles include almost every form of Electric Vehicles out there.The factors that influence their adoption though never been viewed in light of innovation adoption schemes.The fact that market dynamic is continually changing due to new entrants and trends in the industry the following and previously mentioned made study relevant.First,electric vehicle industry was reviewed to determine the dynamics and specialty of vehicle types.Additionally,government incentives influence on the vehicle adoption and current market outlook and vehicle attribute influencing adoption of electric vehicle worldwide and within China were reviewed.Technology innovation models were analyzed,modified,combined and compiled,so the theoretical model was constructed.A questionnaire in Chinese and English was distributed by We Chat social network.Gathered data,was rendered,then analyzed by R Studio Program by Ordinary Least Squares regression model.No transformation and Box-Cox transformation models proved working with Effort and Social expectancy blocks most significant on adoption.Color interdependency table showed a correlation between Performance expectancy and Brand and Service expectancy factors,and Brand and Service expectancy and Design expectancy factors.The implication of the study is small sample size and questionnaire social network distribution approach.Results show consumer inexperience,lack of knowledge,drive range anxiety and attention to infrastructure and other technology ease of adoption factors.The complete study with usable model shows what should be done to further promote vehicle adoption and useful for manufacturers and government organizations. |
