Research On The Creation Of Place Spirit In Urban Waterfront Landscape Design

With the development of the times and the progress of society,the people’s pursuit of the spiritual level is increasing,and their attention to things that can improve the spiritual level is also increasing.As an integral part of the urban public space,the urban waterfront landscape can not only provide a place for urban people to rest,but also interpret the historical and cultural connotation and urban spirit through the role of the landscape.However,the current urban waterfront landscape has the problems of homogeneity,unclear landscape features,and a thousand cities,which cannot evoke people’s memories of the waterfront space environment.The spirit of place enhances the spiritual will and value orientation of the city.The people’s sense of belonging to the place,and plays an important role in promoting the inheritance and continuation of local history and culture.Therefore,the research and application of place spirit has attracted more and more people’s attention.From the perspective of place spirit,this article takes the Panlong River waterfront landscape in Kunming as the research object,takes the waterfront landscape design of the middle section of the Panlong River as an example,combines the relevant characteristics of the waterfront site,and combines the spiritual needs of the people to develop related designs to improve The people’s identity and sense of belonging to the city eventually form a unique spirit of urban waterfront landscape places.This article introduces the theory of place spirit into the urban waterfront landscape design,collects the relevant researches of domestic and foreign experts and scholars,and refers to the experience of excellent urban waterfront landscape place spiritual construction cases at home and abroad.Taking the Panlong River waterfront landscape in Kunming City as the research object,it interprets the spirit of the Panlong River waterfront landscape location from the aspects of the evolution of the place,the formation and embodiment of the spirit of the place,the advantages and the existing problems.Clarify the necessity of place spirit construction in the Panlong River waterfront landscape design,put forward the design ideas for place spirit construction in the Panlong River waterfront landscape,and propose ecological design methods,site context methods,semiotic design methods,and functional design methods Four design methods are used to analyze the place image factor and place element composition in the Panlong River waterfront landscape at the same time.Through the waterfront landscape design practice project in the middle section of the Panlong River,it explores the expression method of the place spirit in the waterfront landscape design of the middle section of the Panlong River,and at the same time demonstrates the feasibility of the place spirit theory in the urban waterfront landscape design.The inheritance and continuation of veins provides a new way of thinking.
