The Research On Static Color Features In Immigration Of Xishu Garden

The immigration guild hall is an activity place established by the immigrants living in an alien land in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in order to keep in touch with fellows,stay and gather together or promote business.Xishu Immigration Guild Hall carries abundant immigrant culture in a specific historical period,with important research and conservation value.As a result of war damage,demolition by urban development,and inadequate protection,the number of immigrant halls has fallen sharply,so it is urgent and important to strengthen the protection of immigrant halls.The protection of the guild hall not only involves the layout of the guild hall and the architecture space appearance,but also the static color of the immigrant hall is an important content of its image.Therefore,strengthening the study of the static color of the guild hall is conducive to the protection of the immigrant guild hall.Through extensive literature review and field research,in this paper,Luodai Guangdong Guild Hall,Huguang Guild Hall,Jiangxi Guild Hall and Jintang Shaanxi Guild Hall are taken as the objects,the architectural and environmental static color of the guild hall and its application characteristics are studied.By means of on-site color selection,color rendition and sorting analysis,it is found that the Xishu Immigration Hall has the following features:(1)There are three kinds of static colors applied to the architecture and environment of Xishu Immigration Hall: lacquer color,natural color of natural materials with low chroma and natural color of artificial material with low chroma.The color of floors and sketches of the guild hall,the terraces and column bases of the building are mostly the natural color of natural materials;The body of the building is mainly composed of wood components.The paint colors of the wood components can be divided into three types: red,black and gold;The color of roof tiles and brick walls is mostly turquoise-blue.(2)Most of the buildings in the Xishu Immigration Hall are dominated by red,blue tile and gray as auxiliary colors,and black and gold as decorative colors.Red is the lacquer color,mainly used on the sill wall window,door leaf,hanging fascia,braced arch and eave column;Steel gray and gray are mainly the natural colors of materials,used on roof,gable,terrace and column base;Embellish color,black,is often used on eaves column,and gold is often used on patterns in sill wall window,door leaf,hanging fascia and buttress arch.(3)Influenced by the traditional Chinese view of five colors and the original local culture,the static colors of the garden in the immigration hall are "the system of pure colors and secondary colour".There are two kinds of color matching in the building of the immigration hall: one is the color matching of the building dominated by wooden structure,such as halls,wings and theater stage: red is the main color of wood paint,the color of roof tiles is the auxiliary color,black and gold wood paint is the decorative color;The other is a building with brick walls,such as the color matching of hip corridors:the colour of metope brick is given priority to color,the colour of the tiles on the roof is complementary color,and the red,black and aureate in wood lacquer color are all ornament color.In terms of the building of the guild hall,influenced by the techniques of the original immigrants,plenty of gold lacquer wood carvings,brick carvings and stone carvings appeared.Among them,gold lacquer wood carvings reflect the ethnic characteristics of Hakka people in pursuit of magnificence and optimism,while durable stone carvings and brick carvings are used for decoration,reflecting the immigrants’ elegant and pragmatic commercial temperament.(4)On the dynamic path,with the increase of the courtyard space scale,the chroma contrast of colors changed.Small scale is high chroma contrast,medium scale is medium chroma contrast,and large scale is bright gray chroma contrast.The courtyard characteristic of bright gray contrast is to enhance the focus effect by chroma contrast,which can highlight the main body in large-scale courtyard and lead the eye.
