In recent years,as the field of architecture interacts more frequently with the inhabitants of society, architecture is no longer seen as a mere thing,as it was during the period from classicalism to modernism, but is increasingly seen as a mediating system. As a result, the influence of the building occupants has never been greater, from the architectural design to the use of the building. To reduce the "design-use bias",more and more people in the architectural field are using the understanding of the users’ everyday life as a starting point for architectural design. However, due to many realities, architects have long lacked an effective way to study the relationship between architecture and the real everyday life in a comprehensive,in-depth,and objective manner.Based on the above problems, this thesis selects a database which contains a large number of moving images for analyzing everyday life as the research object, from the perspective of the everydayness, combining with the author’s experience in using the database, and analyzes its logic of the framework at the bottom layer, the operational mechanism at the middle layer, the interaction form at the top layer, connected by its whole process.Secondly, using typological and phenomenological methods to analyze the selected cinematic materials from the database, this thesis studies the support that architecture can provide for human needs from the architect’s point of view and the perception of space in real life from the occupant’s point of view, from both ends of the spectrum leading to "design-use bias" in architecture:from the designer end, this thesis provides a specific analysis of the everydayness of the chosen architectural elements through the six-level framework(physical accommodation, psychological intervention, visual guidance, actional evocation,environ-mental adjustment, and cultural projection)summarized by the author;from the user end,to study the everydayness of space under the four situational units,a four-level structure(spatial reading, spatial cognition, spatial interaction, and spatial possession)and a research model based on "behavior-props-scenario" is built. Finally, according to the results of the aforementioned research on the everydayness, which are the two sides of the same coin,in the combination of the new demands of everyday life generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, this thesis designs an open architectural design module system consisting of six module categories. In the context of the rapidly developing information age, this thesis uses the database to experiment with the whole process from researching to proposing design methods and comprehensively and systematically clarifies the value of the cinematic database, which may provide a methodological and instrumental reference for how contemporary architectural research and design can be aided by cinematic. In addition, the thesis offers a collection of archives on the everydayness of architectural elements and the everydayness of spaces, which can be used as a direct basis for architectural professionals or the general public in building design. The thesis also establishes two analysis frameworks for the everydayness of two specific objects and tries to make a primary characterization of "everydayness" to help understand its meaning and serve as a methodological reference for future studies of architectural space. In the meantime, based on the above-mentioned research of the everydayness, this thesis proposes a design module system with prototypical significance, which is expected to provide new ideas for architectural design methods in the "post-2020 era" after the pandemic,so that architectural design can be more targeted, wiser and flexible to serve the everyday life. The whole thesis contains about 81500 words,209 pictures and charts.
