Virtual reality technology is an interdisciplinary subject,which has powerful three-dimensional graphic display function and man-machine interaction function.Applying VR technology to the numerical simulation of tunnel engineering,and the engineering monitoring information is fused with the numerical simulation results,which opens up a new way to solve the problems of monotonous graphic expression of traditional numerical simulation results,non-intuitive correspondence between numerical simulation and spatial position,and complicated comparison between monitoring data and simulation data.According to the needs of 3D visualization of numerical simulation and the integration of engineering monitoring information and numerical simulation results,a visualization system of tunnel numerical simulation based on virtual reality is developed by using the application platform of virtual reality technology.This article introduces application status of virtual reality technology and numerical simulation of 3D visualization display technology at home and abroad,and based on actual engineering,discusses the key technologies of realizing tunnel numerical simulation visualization system based on virtual reality;Based on actual project,the data format conversion of the coupling between the numerical simulation result file and the virtual reality technology development platform is completed Through the analysis of the display requirements of the system,the overall framework,functional design and interface design of the system are completed,developed main function of system’s displacement cloud,stress cloud map,vault settlement,geological description and engineering construction site.The main frame of the system is built by using the scene building,model display and 3D interactive functions of Unity3 d platform,and the scripts of multi-scene switching,mouse key control interaction and exit program are written by C# language,thus completing the development and testing of the visualization system of tunnel numerical simulation based on virtual reality.The key of this study is to reproduce the tunnel numerical simulation results in three dimensions by virtual reality technology,and to fuse the engineering monitoring information with numerical simulation,which provides a certain reference for the subsequent virtual reality display of other numerical simulation results.
