Although some progress has been made in the research of carbon fiber reinforced flexural members,the research also has some limitations.Some bending members have power lines,pipes and sundries passing through the bottom,so it is not possible to base carbon fiber.The research on carbon fiber reinforcement of these bending members is obviously lagging behind.Therefore,this paper will focus on studying the mechanical properties of flexural members strengthened by side bonded carbon fiber through finite element software ABAQUS and theoretical calculation.The main work of this study is as follows:1.The domestic research status of carbon fiber reinforced flexural members,the advantages and disadvantages of existing reinforcement methods,the advantages and disadvantages of carbon fiber reinforcement methods are summarized.2.The failure modes of reinforced concrete beams reinforced by side bonded carbon fiber were analyzed,and the formulas for calculating the flexural capacity of three common failure modes were deduced.The formulas were verified,and the verified results were in good agreement.3.On the basis of model verification,the influence of the number of side sticking layers,the height of side sticking,whether anchorage,whether secondary stress and other factors on the strengthened beam is studied;At the same time,the failure mode,crack development,load-mid-span displacement curve,CFRP strain and other performance indexes of the model were analyzed.The deflection deformation of the specimen increased with the increase of the number of side sticking layers,side sticking height and side sticking anchorage,and the final deflection deformation was small under the secondary stress state.The crack of the specimen becomes thinner and denser with the increase of the number of side sticking layers,the height of side sticking and whether the side sticking is anchored,and the crack becomes larger and wider under the secondary stress state.The bearing capacity of the specimen increases with the increase of the number of side sticking layers,the height of side sticking and the anchorage of side sticking,while the bearing capacity decreases under secondary stress.The maximum strain of CFRP occurs in the middle of the beam span and can effectively reach its ultimate tensile strain under the ultimate load.4.According to the actual situation of a residential area,using finite element parameter analysis,the layer number,height and anchorage of side bonded carbon fiber cloth are given in detail.Meanwhile,the principle of side bonded carbon fiber,construction technology and matters for attention are introduced,which provides corresponding reference for the application of side bonded carbon fiber.
