Study On Decorative Pattern Of Zhao In Yuyin-Shanfang

With a history of 150 years,Yuyin-Shanfang is still emanating its unique charm,which can be attributed to the regional features and humanistic spirit its architectural ornaments harbor.As one component of the architectural ornaments,the Zhao in the garden used for space division is rich in artistic beauty and decorativeness.With an abundance of content in its decorative patterns and unity and harmony in its forms,Zhao embodies strong regional culture features and profound spiritual connotations.Through field researches in Yuyin-Shanfang and by collecting and sorting out relevant literature on Zhao,this study profoundly probes into the decorative patterns of the Zhao in Yuyin-Shanfang so as to explore its academic and application values.Basing on the environment and the cultural background of Yuyin-Shanfang,this study analyzes the development and the humanistic characteristics of Zhao in the garden.By sorting the contents of the decorative patterns in the Zhao in the garden,it then analyzes their formations and combinations based on the principles of pattern formation and formal beauty,and explores their aesthetic expressions.And the cultural connotations of Zhao are explained from the perspective of folklore so as to reveal the spiritual culture of the Wu family and the regional image of Lingnan.Finally,the study summarizes the formation,the cultural spirit and the regional characteristics of the decorative patterns in the Zhao,and discusses their applicability in the design of cultural and creative products.
