Abstract/Summary:
Recently, regional urban waterlogging caused by extreme rainfall occurs frequently due to the combined action of accelerative urbanization and climate change, which results in road waterlogging and traffic congestion. Therefore,it is crucial to identify the location and characteristics of regional waterlogging points accurately, analyze the corresponding influence on road traffic, and release early warnings for urban waterlogging management. This article summarized the domestic and foreign researches on urban waterlogging model and its application, urban flood impact on traffic and the application of Net Logo simulation model. And Jida-Gongbei District of Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai City was selected as the study area.Based on the above, the regional drainage capacity, waterlogging risk and driving speed changes influenced by waterlogging were analyzed and the related results are as follows:(1)Based on the data of drainage pipeline network and underlying surface, the maximum water depth of "2020.5.30" and "2020.9.29" rainfall process was selected for the model calibration and validation respectively;then the regional Mike Urban model was constructed.(2)Chicago rainfall pattern, rainstorm intensity formula in Zhuhai and the related parameters were selected for calculating the designed rainfall with return periods of oneyear,3a,5a,10 a and 20 a.Based on these initial rainfall conditions, the drainage capacity and waterlogging risk were assessed. The results show that the regional drainage capacity of pipeline network is once a year.As the rainfall grade exceeds the standard, eight waterlogging points would emerge,in which the higher risk points are 1#,2# and 3# and the lower one is 8#.(3)The speed attenuation curve model and Net Logo simulation model were used to evaluate the driving speed changes between wading driving and switching respectively, and the results show that the driving speed on roads with different number of lanes fluctuates around 50% of the full speed. The results can provide technical support and decision reference to early warning of road traffic in the heavy rainfall.
