With the increase of service life,due to a series of reasons,such as design standards,construction quality,overweight vehicles,natural damage and natural aging of materials,bridges are faced with many diseases.In a series of bridge diseases,the bridge tower cracking of cable-stayed bridge and suspension cable has brought great challenges to inspection and maintenance due to the lack of accessible means,which has become the pain point and difficulty in bridge management and maintenance.Therefore,it is very important to develop the disease detection device for tall cable tower and carry out the safety assessment of the cable tower.Based on the fractal theory,the relationship between the cracking and the fractal dimension is deduced,and the safety evaluation system of the cracked tower is established.The main research work and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on damage mechanics,the formula for solving the crack depth of the tower is derived,and the relationship between the cracking of the tower and the fractal dimension is obtained(that is,the degree of cracking of the structure is characterized by the value of the fractal dimension),and the cracking tower is established.Security status assessment system.(2)The indoor tower segment scale model was developed to analyze the structural behavior of the tower after cracking,and calculate the fractal dimension of the tower.On this basis,the technical status of the tower was evaluated,and the results showed that the finite element calculation and the model test calculation under the same load conditions,the corresponding fractal dimension under each level of load is very similar,which verifies the fractal theory evaluation The reliability of the safety performance of the cracked tower.(3)Taking Guangxi Dachong Yongjiang Bridge as the backing project,the installation and application of the robot device on the bridge were carried out under the premise that the design and safety calculation of the on-site anchors were satisfied.Using the crack pictures collected by this device,the fractal dimension of the tower was calculated,and the safety assessment of the supporting engineering tower was completed.
