In China,with the development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standard,the tourism industry develops rapidly and the number of self-driving tourists increases year by year,which brings challenges to the development of tourist highways.The research shows that the choice of travel destinations is affected by the developmental level of their traffic and economic conditions,and the tourists’ planning of tour routes is affected by structure of tourist road network.Based on this,the dissertation studies the tourism road planning method from the perspective of self-driving tourists,which is of great significance to further improve the road network planning theory and to improve the tourism road service level.By analyzing the development trend of tourism industry and the status of highway network in China,the characteristics and existing problems of tourism highway are studied.A questionnaire was designed to study the influencing factors of destination selection and route selection of self-driving tourists.By applying the technique of factor analysis,main factors are extracted as: scenic spots attraction,tourism traffic conditions and tourism costs.According to Considering the factors of the proportion of tourism economy,regional population,economic development and other parameters,the scale test model of tourism road network was established.According to the social and economic situations of tourists,resource features and traffic characteristics of tourist attractions,the importance degree model of tourist attractions is established,basing on the interest of self-driving tourists.The k-means clustering method is adopted to divide tourist attractions into hierarchical structures.Combining with self-driving tourists’ tour order of scenic spots and the interconnected development demand of these scenic spots,the importance model of connecting lines and tourism circle lines between scenic spots is established.On this basis,multilayer modular planning model is put forward by studying the tourism highway,tourism circle,the planning method of connecting scenic area.The planning model of trunk line,branch line and connecting line are established by using dynamic programming method,optimal tree expansion method,multi-point ordered connection method.The tourist road connectivity and reliability is improved.And the evaluation index and evaluation method of the tourist road network are studied,the method for calculating the degree of desirability of tourism highway network is proposed based on the evaluation index system of tourist perception.The main conclusions of this dissertation are as follows: 1)Self-driving travel group tends to be younger and their economic conditions are better.They prefer to form selfdriving activities with 3-5 friends or colleagues,and their average travel distance is within600 kilometers.2)The 12 main factors influencing the choice of tourist destination by self-driving tourists include scenic spot resource value,travel distance,travel cost and so on.3)Self-driving tourists prefer leisure tourist attractions,which have a higher degree of importance and a higher level of tour structure.The tour sequence of self-driving tourists is often in a ring or strip pattern,which leads to a significant scenic spot correlation effect.The importance is manifested in circling tour routes with multi-scenic spots in series.3)The tree structure and the star-claw structure are suitable for planning the tourist trunk roads.The ring structure and ribbon structure are suitable for the planning of secondary tourist roads between scenic spots,and the free style is suitable for the planning around scenic spots,connecting the highway network with entrances or exits of scenic spots.The application shows that the planning method of tourism road network proposed in this paper takes into account the perception of road network service level of self-driving tourists,the destination choice of self-driving tourists and the route choice of scenic spots.It reflects the cascade driving effect and circular promoting effect between tourism development and highway development,with certain operability.
