Asphalt pavement is the most important pavement structure of high-grade highways in China.However,due to the inherent temperature sensitivity of asphalt concrete and the rising temperature in summer,rutting has become one of the most important forms of damage to asphalt pavement diseases.At present,the rut detection is mainly based on the regular detection method.The best maintenance time is often delayed because the rut development information is not obtained in time.Real-time monitoring and evaluation of ruts have also become the focus of research.In order to solve this problem,this paper uses fiber grating sensor monitoring technology,combined with the finite element method,to explore the development law of rutting lateral deformation and its evaluation method.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Analyze the wheel rolling effect in the rut test using tests and simulations.The results show that the measured lateral strain values on the surface and bottom of the rut plate are not much different from the simulated values,and the overall trend is the same.Lateral strains on the rut plate surface and the bottom plate are possible.(2)A sensor arrangement method for indoor monitoring of rut lateral deformation is proposed,that is,three sensors are arranged on the surface of the rut plate,and one sensor is arranged on the bottom of the plate.This arrangement is designed to meet the purpose of monitoring lateral deformation of ruts.(3)Through the analysis of the lateral strain development law of the asphalt mixture,the rut resistance of the asphalt mixture can be judged.The stronger the rutting resistance of the asphalt mixture,the smaller the influence range of lateral deformation.During the initial compaction stage of the rut development,the lateral deformation of the wheel track belt is basically the main.In the stable stage of the rut development,the lateral deformation of the wheel track is the main lateral deformation.(4)The low-strength cushion has already affected the early compaction stage of rut development.In the early stage of rut development,the tensile strain was the main strain before the instability of the cushion occurred.The instability of the cushion layer will directly affect the lateral deformation development mode of the asphalt mixture.(5)Under different conditions of rut depth,the strain value at 50 mm from the centerline of the wheel track is basically unchanged.Where the distance from the center line of the wheel track is greater than 50 mm,the strain value gradually increases with the increase of the rolling depth.(6)In the rutting test,the lateral strain of the surface is closely related to the rutting resistance of the asphalt mixture.It is proposed that the two indexes of lateral strain difference and lateral strain change rate at different locations can be used to evaluate the rutting resistance of the asphalt pavement. |
