In recent years,China’s power industry has developed rapidly,and a nationwide UHV interconnection power grid has been gradually formed.AC-DC hybrid power grid has higher requirements on real-time and accuracy of power dispatching system.As the foundation of advanced applications of power system,topology analysis provides initial mathematical model for online analysis applications such as power flow calculation and state estimation.Under the background of large-scale power grid,the traditional serial topology analysis mode has many problems,such as large amount of computation and low computational efficiency.It is difficult to meet the real-time requirement of power dispatching system.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop topology analysis algorithm of large-scale power grid with high computational speed and accuracy.In this thesis,the Graphics Processing Unit(GPU)is used as the coprocessor,and the advanced hybrid architecture of CPU+GPU is adopted to accelerate the topology analysis algorithm in parallel.The specific research contents are as follows:Firstly,the GPU parallel technology is studied,and the GPU hardware features are introduced by comparing the performance of GPU and CPU.In terms of GPU software,the thread organization model and memory management of GPU are described in detail,and the GPU parallel optimization method and kernel performance evaluation index are given.Secondly,the topology model of power grid is constructed and the relevant concepts are defined.Based on the tree search method,the basic flow of power network topology analysis is introduced.The task allocation strategy of CPU and GPU in hybrid architecture is studied.The CPU is responsible for the flow control of the algorithm,while the GPU accelerates the complex part of the algorithm in parallel.Furthermore,the GPU kernel functions are summarized.Based on the breadth first parallel search algorithm,the parallel algorithm of station topology analysis and network topology analysis is proposed.The parallelism of the two parts which are the most important and the most complex in the topology analysis of power grid is studied.On the premise of the above research,the kernel fuctions of the parallel algorithm for topology analysis of station and network are designed.Finally,based on the professional GPU computing card K40 C,the algorithm performance of three calculation examples of different sizes in east China power grid is tested.For the power grid with 223953 physical nodes,the acceleration ratio of the parallel topology analysis algorithm of the station is up to 30.7 and the total time is 53.48 ms.
