From Image To Vision

The age of images is coming abruptly.The development of image synthesis technology makes images become the dominant medium for information dissemination.Cities and buildings cannot be exempted also they join the process of constructing image world.While the image presents and disseminates the architecture,it also influences the architecture in reverse,becoming a reference and means for the visual organization of architecture.Through the construction of virtual images,the imagination of the architectural visual state is established,and the architectural scenes of related themes are shaped.Imageization refers to the process of referring to the construction of the image,applying the visual principles of the image and the method of image propagation to the design and planning of the building.It tends to focus on the surface of the building and pay attention to the form,materials.The visual perceptual attribute of the building formed by light expresses the architectural theme(locality).The communication needs of large-scale public cultural buildings make the external image organization become a necessary component of the design.At the same time,the homogenization of urban culture brought about by globalization makes urban construction and construction of its own characteristics and the shaping of local image become a new purpose of image.The large-scale public cultural building’s imagery from the perspective of the ground connects the space and the local context,shaping the graphic form associated with the localization and the context.This article is based on the design of the exterior form of Yibin Cultural Center and Museum,takes the image era and focus on the locality of buildings as the background,and uses "image" analysis,expression and dissemination of buildings as tools to study the image design method of the local perspective.In the design,I try to summarize the graphic design strategy based on the local perspective,which is developed on the two levels of design strategy and practical operation.The former is based on the theoretical research and case analysis of image design,and is summarized as the image form design strategy based on the spatial place and local context;the latter is based on the design results and design process of the Yibin Double Pavilion.Three-dimensional image design discussion at the macroscopic localization level,mesomorphic level and microscopic skin level,are conducted to summarize the design method.It provides the method and principle which can be used for reference to construct the city name card.
