Abstract/Summary:
The technology and modeling of architecture have always been the mainstream problems in architecture.They complement each other to open up their horizons,and also put forward new requirements.With the architectural form breaking through many modeling attempts of European geometry,the development of architectural geometry is accompanied by the exploration of multi-disciplinary combination of architectural form and space to a deeper level.With the interdisciplinary development of architectural geometry,folding geometry has been brought into the field of architecture because it can transform two-dimensional plane into three-dimensional geometry.Among them,origami tessellations has a unique geometric rhythm,and its deformation mode makes the curvature of the whole structure controllable.Therefore,origami tessellations has been applied and studied in many dimensions of the building.However,the current research is relatively scattered,lack of systematic induction and arrangement and targeted application methods in the architectural design stage.Therefore,the main purpose of this paper is to summarize the application of origami tessellations in architecture from multiple levels,and form an effective and feasible application method of origami tessellations in all levels based on the parametric platform Grasshopper,so as to integrate the application of origami tessellations in architecture and form a systematic application method.Based on this,this paper mainly includes the following parts:First of all,it combs the principle background,formation method and technique classification of,origami tessellations,and arranges the relevant literature of origami tessellations in architecture,forming the background knowledge.Secondly,the application of origami tessellations in architecture is studied from the aspects of micro structure,meso skin and macro modeling,and the current situation and enabling methods of mosaic folding are summarized.The parametric platform Grasshopper is used to carry out the meta design of structural optimization,inlay simulation,folding simulation and surface fitting.Thirdly,combined with the building example,the simulation experiment of surface fitting is carried out to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the meta design.Based on the fitting surface,the structural optimization and folding dynamic simulation are carried out to systematically verify the feasibility and consistency of the application of origami tessellations in all levels.Finally,summarize the main points of the study and form a conclusion.
