Off-road wide-body mining dump truck as the name suggests,it means not driving on the highway.it used for transporting ore, sand and stone and not driven on the road and.It has wide body, short transport distance and strong carrying capacity, and is mainly used in large construction sites such as open ore wharf, port and transportation infrastructure construction. The dump truck technology in foreign country has developed for decades,so it is very mature. The development of dump truck of China started in the early 1970 s and made a breakthrough in 1990,which is later than it in foreign country. However,it is affected by many factors such as insufficient parts, high procurement costs, and slow cost recovery. Our country’s mining dump trucks have been developing slowly. However, with the rapid development of off-highway mining vehicles in recent years,Shan Xi Tong Li and Xu Zhou Zhong Gong and Xian Yang Tong Li Ltd have joined the domestic non-highway industry to compete, and industry competition has become fierce,At the same time, competition in foreign markets(such as Myanmar,Vietnam, etc.)is fierce,Need to adapt to the more complex vehicle usage environment abroad. But no matter how fierce the competition is,high-quality products are still the focus of the market, and product quality has become the most convincing weapon for the market’s pros and cons.Because off-highway wide-body mining dump trucks are mostly circling potholes, the road conditions are slightly worse than those of highway dump trucks. In addition, the total weight of the vehicle is heavier. For the frame with the weight of the main parts such as the box,its strength is particularly important for the reliability of the vehicle.According to the statistics of the operation of a company’s 80 T wide-body mining dump truck under different road conditions: the engine, gearbox, and axle are the three parts with a higher frequency of maintenance in the failure of the whole vehicle(most of the three parts are purchased, after sales Generally served directly by parts manufacturers),the highest failure rate is the frame,so the design of the frame is very critical to the service life of a mining dump truck. The frame of a certain 80 T off-highway wide-body mining dump truck of a certain company often had longitudinal beam cracking during long-term use, which was a major quality problem. In this paper, the use environment research, scheme design verification and manufacturing process improvement are carried out for this frame, and the problems are analyzed from the perspective of engineering. The process focuses on combining finite element analysis technology to simulate and analyze the frame structure plan, find the reasons for structural failure, and optimize the design according to the resultsFirst,I will make a 3D modeling for original carriage, and simplify the 3D modeling to make a pretreatment to original carriage by using Hyper Mesh and divide the grid according to the carriage construction.Second,I identify the material characterization, and then make aftertreatment according to the analysis result in Hyper View.By analyzing static strength in the condition of vertical impact, swerving, torsion, braking,I investigate the distribution of stress in carriage and side beam to find out the reason for cracking.Among them, the Solid Works software is used in the CAE analysis to restore the original three-dimensional model of the frame, and the finite element simulation analysis software Hyper Mesh is used to pre-process the original frame, and the grid is divided according to the characteristics of the frame;then the material properties are defined and used Hyper View performs post-processing on the analysis results.Analyze the static strength of the vehicle through four typical working conditions of vertical impact, turning, torsion, and braking, investigate the stress distribution of the frame and longitudinal beams under each working condition, and find out the connection between the original frame longitudinal beam and the cross beam Causes of easy breakage.According to the analysis results,a new frame plan is proposed and a three-dimensional model is re-established,and the static analysis is performed again. In the static analysis, the working conditions and the loaded load are the same as the original frame. The analysis results show that the mechanical properties of the new frame are significantly improved compared to the original frame.Combined with the on-site feedback of the user’s usage, the cracking phenomenon of the frame rail is controlled, and it is determined that the frame fracture problem has been improved. The analysis results and analysis methods in this paper have important guiding significance for the engineering analysis and optimization improvement of the next generation frame.
