As we all know,the engine is the heart of the car,and the atomization quality of the nozzle fuel droplets is the key to evaluating the quality of the engine.Therefore,it is imperative to study the degree of fuel atomization of the engine nozzle.Fuel spray quality will not only affect the six major performances of the car(such as ride comfort,fuel economy,etc.),but it is even more important for the increasingly serious environmental crisis.Due to the considerable development in the field of fuel spray research,the advantages of using MATLAB image processing technology to analyze and process spray photos are obvious.Some clear pictures was selected from the spray pictures as the program processing material which obtained by using the direct photography method.After analysis and comparison of various image processing operations,it was decided to use image processing techniques such as image graying processing,ideal low-pass filtering,and local threshold segmentation to perform pre-processing operations on spray pictures.After the particles in the spray image are added into the established ACCESS database by using the mothed of divided and merged,then use the particles in the database to make comprehensive traversal matching statistics on the oil particles in the spray image using image matching technology.The gray matching method in this paper is a new optimized method which is produced by merging the traditional SSDA and NCC matching methods.After the photographs are processed by the particle size measurement system,various characteristic size parameters of the spray particles(such as the volume integral distribution of droplet)are obtained.The statistical data of the Malvern method under the same working conditions are counted for comparison with it.The particle size measurement system is designed in MATLAB language programming mode in MATLAB / GUI interface.The two sets of data are compared and analyzed(Malvern data,program processing data)to verify the practicability and reliability of the program,and the cause of the error is analyzed based on the fitting results of the two data.
